Verschiedenste Sprecher_innen – von Fachleuten, Politiker_innen bis hin zu Betroffenen – kommen zu Wort und prägen den Diskurs mit. Das öffentliche Wissen über das Phänomen Schulamoklauf speist sich zuallererst aus seiner journalistischen Vermittlung. Entscheidungen über den Umgang der Gesellschaft mit dem Problem werden daher innerhalb des Rahmens getroffen, den die Perspektiven der unterschiedlichen Medien überhaupt erst erzeugen. Die pragma- und textlinguistische Analyse eines Korpus aus Bild-Zeitung, Süddeutscher Zeitung, taz, Spiegel und Spiegel Online, ergänzt durch Texte einschlägiger Expert_innen, soll diese Dynamiken der Wissenskonstitution einer modernen Mediengesellschaft greifbar machen. Nicht das Phänomen des Schulamoklaufs als solches steht dabei im Vordergrund, sondern die Frage nach der kommunikativen Gestaltung des öffentlichen Raums.

Je nach Sprach- und Kulturraum werden krisenhafte Ereignisse unterschiedlich gedeutet. Häufig werden sie als übermächtige Bedrohungen beschrieben, die wie Naturgewalten über eine Gesellschaft hereinbrechen. Jedoch lassen sich auch andere Interpretationen beobachten. Ein Beispiel ist der argentinische Zahlungsausfall von 2014, der im öffentlichen Diskurs den Status einer überwindbaren Herausforderung erhält und keinen Krisendiskurs, sondern stattdessen einen nationalen Identitätsdiskurs auslöst. Die vorliegende diskurslinguistische Studie fokussiert diese andere Seite der Krise und erarbeitet die Deutungsmuster eines resilienten Umgangs mit widrigen Umständen. This is corpus linguistics with a text linguistic focus. Sloterdijk takes the Crystal Palace in London, the site of the first world exhibition in 1851, as the most expressive metaphor for this situation. The palace demonstrates the inevitable exclusivity of globalization as the construction of a comfort structure Ð that is, the establishment and expansion of a world interior whose boundaries are invisible, yet virtually insurmountable from without, and which is inhabited by one and a half billion winners of globalization; three times this number are left standing outside the door.
