All royalties from the sale of this book go to charities that help mankind without respect to persons. Topics discussed in this book include: 1. A review of the four major eastern religions and how God commands holy people from all nations of the earth to write the things he speaks unto them. 2. How the Law of Love relates to all Mankind regardless of religion or lack thereof. 3. The importance of becoming spiritually self reliant from men and dependent upon God in your quest to learn truth. 4. What "this life," this "day of life," "day," and other similar terms mean in the scriptures and why the scriptures do not limit the probationary state to mortality. 5. Who the "righteous" and "wicked" are as taught by the scriptures. 6. A detailed explanation of the "kingdom of heaven" as referred to in the scriptures. 7. God's plan and ability to save all mankind but the son's of perdition. 8. Why God is not a respecter of persons as he only holds people accountable to the truths they were exposed to in mortality, and gives every person in His timing the chance to receive all the truths he has to offer. 9. Why no person on earth will gain a special reward or status with God merely by being a part of a church, religion, or association. How God gives all mankind, in God's concept of time (not ours), an opportunity to learn all the truths he has to offer and to become righteous and good according to their desires or to become evil according to his desires All persons who have lived or will live, will encounter family members who become disenchanted with their respective church, religion, or family. They may be excommunicated, disfellowshipped, shunned, or become non-responsive to those who reach out to them. Ultimately, they may estrange themselves from their family and from God. Suddenly these grieving families face the death of the disaffected one. What happens to this disgruntled family member? Where does the loved one go after mortal life? Will the separated kin have a chance to grow in the next life and ultimately prevail in righteousness or is the cherished family member eternally consigned to perdition as some teach? With empathy and rigor James R. Boud dispels darkness and hopelessness for all races and religions, in regard to their Godly worth. He carefully creates a tapestry of God's plan for the whole human race by weaving citations from Christian and non-Christian texts. He brings to the forefront that all people are God's children. He shows all are destined, in God's timing, to live in a part of God's kingdom based upon their desires, except those who commit the unpardonable sin. Jim skillfully uses scripture to show that God loves our troubled family members, and illustrates God loves us regardless of race, creed, color, religion, or human mistakes. He sets forth Christian and non-Christian scriptures that teach God opens doors to salvation for all mankind in ways we never knew existed and illuminates incomprehensible opportunities for us to see ourselves as God sees us. In God is Not a Respecter of Persons, Jim draws on a lifetime of scripture study, 41 years of legal experience, and more than 11 years of exhaustive research studying the scriptures of the eastern religions and the teachings of their holy men. Jim explores many critical beliefs of his beloved Church--the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--that are based on scripture, which are often taught but not interpreted correctly. He shows why and where these particular traditional misinterpretations originated, and then carefully uses scripture in context with scriptures of the eastern faiths to clarify these deeply held misunderstandings. The clarity of scripture in this book is refreshing and gives nurturing hope to all humans regardless of where they reside, what they believe, and no matter what their exposure and relationship is to God.

Harsh Justice written by James Q. Whitman and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-04-14 with Social Science categories.

Criminal punishment in America is harsh and degrading--more so than anywhere else in the liberal west. Executions and long prison terms are commonplace in America. Countries like France and Germany, by contrast, are systematically mild. European offenders are rarely sent to prison, and when they are, they serve far shorter terms than their American counterparts. Why is America so comparatively harsh? In this novel work of comparative legal history, James Whitman argues that the answer lies in America's triumphant embrace of a non-hierarchical social system and distrust of state power which have contributed to a law of punishment that is more willing to degrade offenders.

"The Summa Theologica is the best-known work of Italian philosopher, scholar, and Dominican friar SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS (1225 1274), widely considered the Catholic Church s greatest theologian. Famously consulted (immediately after the Bible) on religious questions at the Council of Trent, Aquinas s masterpiece has been considered a summary of official Church philosophy ever since. Aquinas considers approximately 10,000 questions on Church doctrine covering the roles and nature of God, man, and Jesus, then lays out objections to Church teachings and systematically confronts each, using Biblical verses, theologians, and philosophers to bolster his arguments. In Volume III, Aquinas addresses: faith and heresy charity peace and war mercy, anger, and justice prayer truth and much more. This massive work of scholarship, spanning five volumes, addresses just about every possible query or argument that any believer or atheist could have, and remains essential, more than seven hundred years after it was written, for clergy, religious historians, and serious students of Catholic thought."

All royalties from the sale of this book go to charities that help mankind without respect to persons. Note, as these books build upon each other, the prior two books should be read before reading this final book. In books 1 and 2 of God is Not a Respecter of Persons Jim Boud awakened our spiritual conscience by introducing important concepts that explained how God deals with all mankind. He set forth detailed scripture and teachings of Holy Men and Prophets that show we are all treated the same in "God's timing" and that God gives all mankind equal privileges to lay hold upon His greatest gift of eternal life. He helped us understand how God loves all people unconditionally regardless of race, creed, color, gender, or national origin, and gave abundant scriptural hope that we will find our way back into God's presence. In Book 3, Man Should Not be a Respecter of Persons, Jim continues to inspire by making the transition from God not being a respecter of persons to man should not be a respecter of persons. He carefully and systematically explores God's expectations for mankind through clarifying scripture, personal stories, quotes from inspirational people, literature, and faith leaders. You will explore and come to understand the profound importance of treating all mankind impartially with love and charity in a world filled with uncertainty and every misguided need. You will learn how charity stands as a beacon of hope and compassion in our world and what we must do to open the door for us to enter God's presence. Larry Odom
