This book will focus on a few of the women in the Bible. There are over 120. I will expound on the most prominent ones to help eradicate the myth that women shouldnt pastor or serve in any position, usurping authority over men. Whereas we will find in the Old and New Testament they did. However, the men are the dominant ones, meaning their use by God is mentioned more than woman. One way Webster dictionary put it is like this, Exercising the most influence or control governing. Now I dont have any problems with men being the head, because they are ordained by God to be the head, and I love it. But that doesnt mean a woman cant be in leadership with authority over men. It seems to me that being the head or in leadership from the male perspective means to give orders. And most have difficulty with taking orders from a woman in the religious sector. Leadership isnt about giving orders but about working in harmony to accomplish common goals. Our common goal should be to please our God.

Quoting a passage from the scriptures is one thing, understanding that passage is another. This book is designed to be a simple clarification to an age-old subject, a woman's role in Church Ministry. This project began in my personal search for truth, overcoming denominational limitations, seeking answers and looking for examples to support conclusions. If women are to keep silent in the Church, why are they permitted to sing in the choir, make Church announcements, serve as ushers or teach Sunday School? If the Bible condemns women teaching men, is it wrong for us to support female college Professors, Doctors, Judges or Pastors? You might not fully agree with my conclusions, but I promise this little book will impact your viewpoints, equip you with fresh revelation and provide you with detailed, accurate and unbiased information.

Is it possible to embrace the inherent dignity of womanhood while still cherishing the Bible? Many people, both inside and outside the church, are concerned that an orthodox understanding of the Bible is threatening and even harmful to women. After all, the Bible has a number of passages regarding women that are deeply troubling and hard to read. But is that assessment accurate? In this fascinating look at God’s work of redemption from Creation to today, Wendy Alsup explores questions such as: * How does God view justice and equal rights for women? * What does it mean to be made in the image of God? * How have the centuries distorted our interpretation of how God views women? * How did Jesus approach the Old Testament and how does that help us read difficult passages today? * What is the difference between a modern view of feminism and the feminism that Scripture models? * How does the Bible explain the Bible to us? Using a Jesus-centered understanding to look at both God’s grand storyline and specific biblical passages, Alsup gives practical and accessible tools for understanding the noble ways God speaks to and about women in its pages and the dignity He places on His daughters.

Jesus Justice And Gender Roles written by Kathy Keller and has been published by Zondervan this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-25 with Religion categories.

In this original digital short, author and co-founder of Redeemer Presbyterian Church Kathy Keller recounts her experience growing up in “gender-neutral” home. “My first encounter with the ideas of [male] headship and [female] submission,” she writes, “was both intellectually and morally traumatic.” Yet Keller came to adopt the view that men and women have different roles in marriage and ministry, and that fulfilling such roles pleases God and leads to greater personal fulfillment. In this unapologetic but nuanced piece, Keller presents a caring and careful case for biblical gender differences and the complementarian view of women in ministry. At the same time, she encourages women to teach and lead in the church in ways that may startle some complementarians. Readers on both sides of this hot-button topic will be challenged by her ministry-tested and thoroughly Scriptural perspective.
