I hope this book will touch your heart concerning the many attributes of life I have shared with you. Although I do not have a set style of writing I consider myself as being creative and versatile a God given ability and talent to create words with energy and emotions. The variety of poems that are placed in this book are unique in their own way. I pray which ever poem or prose enlightens your heart that you are able to embrace the words and share them with someone else. I pray this book will help you to be able to encourage the life of someone around you and help to change the course of their life. Poetry is a spiritual gift of love concerning the many evolutions and cycles that this world we call the planet earth evolves around. It is a gift of love shared by the muses of ones connectivity to bring an individual or individuals into a glorifying act of happiness and peace through each word, each line, each stanza and ending. What you choose to grasp and take with you concerning my work I pray it will be with you forever. My Book of Poems for the World is a mixture of my work. According to how you feel at the time you pick up the book to read it. I am certain you will thumb through the pages and say to yourself, I like this one or that one. Just remember that any poem or prose you choose it is definitely up to your liking. You will enjoy them all but everyone has a favorite. I expressed many emotions and feelings in this book concerning the poetry and prose enclosed. You will find poems and prose of, love, romance, humor, spiritual enlightenment, poems and prose for just a little food for thought. On the spiritual side of it all I must say that the prose, Just One More Soul is one of my best works. It deals with the lost soul and how you must seek God for yourself. There is also, A Penny for Your Thoughts quite controversial yet it leads you to a higher power as one would say reminding you in the process of course there is only one true God. If you would go deeper into the book and study it carefully I am certain that you are going to run across what I consider a little food for thought a prose I have written titled, My Shoes, My Bed, My Table if you really have a heart ticking in your body once you finish this one prose I am certain you will become more involved in what is taking place with those who are in need of assistance. Not just the homeless but the widows, orphans and strangers who you turn your backs on daily. I Cry from the Womb is based on the awareness all mothers should have due to their ability to bring life into this world, a child crying for their mothers protection (sensitive and touching). Although I do not consider myself to be a controversial writer I understand that some of my work does take some people into deep thought(meaning critics) and will cause them to think otherwise. I must state because of my love for all mankind I only write what I know to be factual and true, what I have experienced and what I have researched in order that the truth does not get distorted. Prose like The Whip, An Unpaid Debt, The Dim Light of Justice and a few others may spark a few thoughts concerning your creed, color or religious background. I state it is time for a positive change to occur and if my work begins to reopen the doors of concern for everyone to put their cards on the table and show their hands then there is not a need to vote.

Poetic Verses written by H. Gooding Gamaliel H. Gooding and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-12 with Poetry categories.

I have attempted to include poems that are easily understood, readily associated with one's daily life and circumstances. Because of it's diversity, hopefully this book will be appealing to everyone. I have also attempted to share my own life's experiences, good, bad and indifferent, in a way that is clear and tasteful to the reader. Mostly all of my work deals with reality, my personal concept of how things are, the way I think things should be, and ultimately, the way I think things should turn out. I am fortunate enough to have had parents that were not only christians but ministers. Because of my religious backgroud and upbringing, my insights are critical when engaged in relationships of husband and wife, family, and friends and associates. I hope when you read my work, you will enjoy it as much as I did creating it. Maybe in some small way, you too may be inspired to reach out to someone, if you haven't already. My philosophy is there is no better medicine for the soul then caring.

This book, based on the word of God, uses poetry as an entertaining medium for ministering. It contains thirty-three poems with accompanying biblical references and relevant commentary in the notes section. The compilation of these poems came about through a revelatory process as the author was immersed in Bible study, prayer, and meditation. The book seeks to impart important Christian values through the medium of poetry that can be used as the basis for a more substantive Bible study, especially among the youth and students. The book can also be used as a resource for Bible study purposes by pastors, youth leaders, and teachers. Finally, poetry enthusiasts may come to appreciate important biblical themes and values as they enjoy and critique the poems. Four poetic formats--sonnets, free verse, limericks, and ballads--are used to communicate significant Christian values. And as the reader is being entertained by the poems, they also become intensely exposed to some useful biblical teachings that are designed to facilitate their own spiritual growth.

Painting With Words written by Ian Prattis and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-10 with Nature categories.

"Dr. Ian Prattis, critically acclaimed author of New Planet, New World; Failsafe; and, Our World is Burning, now offers Painting With Words, his outstanding collection of intriguing, thought-provoking, essays and poems reflecting on nature, society, war, the environment, and our fragile planet," - Michael Davie, author, Great Advice "This collection of poems features six thematically distinct parts displaying a full spectrum of human emotions, and capturing in verse the shared aspects of our experience. Each poem seems to reflect how deeply the author had travelled into his personal experience to retrieve and process its meaning, and to raise it to the level of the universal. Each part exudes, thus a singular atmosphere of spirit, and depicts the author's pilgrimage into the landscape of his soul, excavating the multiplicities of his self during the different legs of his spiritual journey. His poetry aims directly for the heart speaking to the reader in clear and loud words, sometimes screaming the truth; it is incisive, devoid of redundant imagery and heavy-handed symbolism that might obscure the truth, both the poetic and human one. n Part One, titled "Bittersweet," Prattis explores his personal, as well as the universal darker side of humanity. His verses bear witness to the disillusionment, pain, senselessness and profanity of war, prodded and perpetuated by the greed for power. His criticism ripples forth from feelings of helpless rage, and from these feelings he shouts out his message to the humanity asking us not to abandon civilization, and not allow it to turn into "a monument to the dead." In this world of darkness and annihilation, a world brimming with the "smallness of men," Prattis sees poetry as a force of transmutation that "fills the Cosmos with meaning." In that sense, like many other artists, Prattis uses poetry as a vehicle through which negativity is alchemized into a higher aesthetic meaning. Reflecting on the tragic and shattering events of 9/11, Prattis appeals to us to fight terrorism through the light of compassion, integrity and courage, thus shining a torch of light into darkness, pitting truth against power. The poem Punk Palace in the Moonlight presents a sudden shift in the mood embracing the reader in a dreamlike slow dance, in which one is fused with the stars, bathed in moonlight tinsels, enveloped in a tranquil mood conducive to the calm acceptance of life's dualities. Part Two of this anthology puts on full display Prattis' passion for nature voiced through his gift of painting pictures with words. He infuses our senses with the colourful images of nature's cycles and its "undeterred rhythm" of change alternating from decay to renewal, from the melancholy of loss to the joy of a new beginning. His poem "Weaving in the Forest" paints a splendorous image of a lake, awakening the senses to the striking beauty of the depicted scene. Prattis' verses devoted to nature portray her as a living and breathing organism worthy of our utmost reverence and respect. Part Three, Agua Viva ushers the reader into the world of Mexico and the Mayan civilization. The poems are a perfect cocktail of ingredients ranging from the shock upon the author's encounter with "smog enveloped" Mexico City to the lulling cadence of the monk chants blended with the air fragrant with the intoxicating scent of flowers..." (excerpt from the foreword by Jana Begovic, author, Poisonous Whispers).
