Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: 2,3, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Dieses Werk beschäftigt sich mit der Verbindung von Naturrecht und Ökonomie bei John Locke. Insbesondere werden die Eigentumstheorie und damit wichtige ökonomische Überlegungen auf Grundlage des Naturrechts im Folgenden näher betrachtet. Zu den bedeutenden Leistungen von Locke zählen seine modernen bürgerlichen Ideen, in welchen er freiheitliche Zustände in Politik, Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft forderte. So basiert die klassische ökonomische Theorie wesentlich auf den Fundamenten eines Gesellschaftsverständnisses, das sich an Locke orientiert und sich zur Grundlage der politischen Ökonomie des Bürgertums schlechthin entwickelte. In dieser Seminarbeit soll die Verbindung der Ökonomie mit dem Naturrecht bei Locke dargestellt werden. Zu einer solchen Verbindung kommt es in der „Zweiten Abhandlung über die Regierung“. In diesem Werk versucht Locke als Theoretiker der Emanzipation des Bürgertums, dessen Interessen gegen absolutistische Vorstellungen zu verteidigen. Zunächst werde ich auf den Naturzustand und auf die allgemeinen naturrechtlichen Überlegungen Lockes eingehen. Danach soll die Eigentumstheorie von Locke dargestellt werden, indem die naturrechtlichen Regelungen des Privateigentums, die Eigentumsschranken und die Wirtschaftsstruktur vor und nach der Einführung des Geldes betrachtet werden. Da das Eigentum das zentrale Motiv für die Gründung des Staates ist, sollen schließlich der Gesellschaftsvertrag, der Staatszweck und die Grenzen der staatlichen Macht aufgezeigt werden. Zum Schluss fasst der Autor kurz seine Eigentumstheorie zusammenfassen um in Verbindung damit Lockes Leistung darstellen.
