Es de agradecer la minuciosidad con la que ha desarrollado el libro, aplicando innumerables juegos que facilitan el aprendizaje del propio juego del ajedrez a la vez que los alumnos se ejercitan físicamente y mejoran sus capacidades físicas, cognitivas, tácticas y de cooperación, dotándoles de recursos en el objetivo de la Educación Física. Es la primera vez que se plantea el ajedrez de manera integrada con las actividades físicas, lo que facilita con estas actividades una gran transferencia al Ajedrez, al aprender los distintos movimientos de las piezas de manera amena y con las características de motivación que acompañan a los juegos motrices. Quiero felicitar al autor por la manera de tratar esta actividad desde el ámbito de la Educación Física, que hace que esta asignatura siga incorporando tareas con alto componente educativo, tanto físico como psíquico e intelectual, tareas que permiten avanzar en el desarrollo de materiales curriculares y proporcionar la merecida importancia de esta área en el desarrollo de las personas.
