The basic premise of this book is that most, if not all, of what we have been taught to believe is true, is not true or only half true. We blindly assume that what our mothers taught us about lying, paternity, religion, incest, nudity, pornography, and other subjects was right. This book states that a closer look at what was taught will reveal that "Your Mama Was Wrong". It says that lying is not always wrong. Sometimes it can be dangerous to tell the truth. When the slaves were being hhid by the "underground railroad", people lied in order to protect them. This book points out the fact that there are males, females and people who are neither male nor female. It also says that all religions are basically hearsay because they are founded upon what someone "said" was "said". All the sacred books were written by someone - usually male, who lived hundreds or thousands of years ago. The chapter on paternity shows how DNA testing can prove that "Your Mama Was Wrong" about who she said your father was. This chapter will prove to be very disturbing to many. There never has been a book written that challenges so many of society's views of right and wrong, true and false, fact and fiction.

Billionaire Mike Woodley has always carved his own path, steering clear of his wealthy family’s influence. But when his parents swoop back into town, they treat him like he’s still a kid. His father belittles his business, and his mother drops not-so-subtle hints about settling down. Determined to prove himself, Mike impulsively invites the whole family to Christmas dinner at his new place in Sullivan’s Creek. There’s just one hitch: his home is as empty as his heart, and he's struggling to find an interior decorator who can handle his hands-on approach. The last thing local artist Darren Williams wants is a decorating job, but she has to take it to pay off her sister’s gambling debts—even if Mike keeps getting in the way. As Darren juggles her newfound career and her sister’s problems, she’s surprised to find a spark flare between her and the meddlesome billionaire. As they confront their respective families’ issues, these two independent people realize their partnership could be more than just a solution to their problems—it’s a force to be reckoned with, a bond forged in the heat of passion. Could it also be love?

Unlike other motherhood books that focus on the experiences of a small group of affluent, married white women, Who's Your Mama? centers on the largely untold perspectives of the majority of American women, whose unique and sometimes unconventional family structures impact our country. Their contributions speak practically of their personal beliefs, intimate relationships, and socioeconomic realities. The book explores the intersection between motherhood and other facets of the contributors’ lives, including race, class, sexuality, politics, and personal tragedy. Personal stories include a feminist juggling the roles of activist and mother, a college graduate who applies for welfare so she can remain home with her child, a gay couple’s navigation of the adoption process, and a mother’s celebration of her own vibrant sexuality. This collection of personal narratives will illuminate various female experiences of parenting and humanize a variety of social and economic issues that affect millions of American women and their families.

During the 1950’s and 60’s, dark skin was an unacceptable stigma, especially in the South. Planting seeds and giving birth to ignorance among blacks; evolving into vicious racism against each other. The False Face of Evil is fiction inspired by a true story. It is a story of privilege, class, wealth, romance, and of obsession, and tragedy. It begins in exciting New York City in 1950, a more innocent time, with its skyscrapers and bright lights illuminating the city at night to its historic landmarks and nightclubs and the rich and famous. From Manhattan's high society, penthouses, and Southampton mansions to Fort Bragg Army Base in North Carolina, through a journey to the deep, dark trenches of South Vietnam. It spans twenty-five years to the turbulent end of the Vietnam War in 1975. Clarissa Kimberly Wagner, beautiful and talented, is a university graduate who moves to New York City to pursue her dream as a Radio City Rockette Dancer. As Clarissa's career takes off, she meets David Stephens, a scion from a wealthy and political family. She gives up her career to become a wife and mother. After almost fifteen years, David decides he does not want to be married anymore, and they divorce. Clarissa moves with their teenage daughter back to her hometown where she volunteers at Fort Bragg Army Base in North Carolina. She meets Major General Scott Morgan, and her life goes in a different direction, as they fall in love and get married.
