Vordiplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Printmedien, Presse, Note: 1,7, Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (Fachbereich Medienwirtschaft), 33 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die nun folgenden Kapitel geben einen Einblick in 280 Jahre Frauenzeitschriften. Die Geschichte von den Anfänge bis Heute, sowie die aktuelle Marktsituation werden gleichermaßen beleuchtet. Um sich über den Begriff Frauenzeitschrift klar zu werden, definiert Kapitel 1.2 erst mal die Oberbegriffe Zeitschrift und Publikumszeitschrift, um dann auf den Begriff an sich zu sprechen zu kommen. Kapitel 2 beginnt im Jahre 1724 bei der ersten Zeitschrift für Frauen und geht dann Kapitel für Kapitel die verschiedenen Epoche der Entstehungsgeschichte bis nach 1945 durch. Am Beispiel der letzten 50 Jahre "Brigitte" werden die detaillierten Entwicklungen dieser Frauenzeitschrift von 1954 bis heute besprochen. Dabei erläutert Kapitel 3 nur die Veränderungen einer Zeitschrift, da diese jedoch vom Markt initiiert werden, lässt sich auch dessen Situation ablesen. Die Analyse der aktuellen Marktverhältnisse folgt in Kapitel 4. 4.1 geht auf die Zahlen, Daten und Fakten des Publikumszeitschriftenmarktes ein. Auf dieser Basis folgen die Verhältnisse im Frauenzeitschriftenmarkt. Im Anschluss richtet sich der Blick auf vier verschiedene Hefte als Beispiele ihrer marktinternen Gattung. Da diese Branche von den Bedürfnisse und Wünschen der weiblichen Bevölkerung lebt, führt Kapitel 4.3 eine Leserschaftsanalyse durch. Zum Schluss erläutert die Arbeit noch mal die neusten Veränderungen des Marktes mit aktuellen Zahlen aus dem 1.Quartal 2005. Ein Fazit mit dem Ziel der Zusammenfassung und des Ausblickes beendet die Arbeit.

Interviewt wurden 41 polnischen Frauen im Ruhrgebiet und in Polen, die zur Arbeit in deutsche Privathaushalte pendeln und weiterhin in Polen leben. Sie verrichten undokumentiert Haushaltsarbeit in der Reinigung und Altenbetreuung unter prekären Bedingungen. Die Pendlerinnensind im Alter, Bildungsstand und Migrationserfahrung heterogen, die größte Gruppe bilden ältere Frauen mit Kindern.

Editors’ Foreword The fundamental changes currently taking place in the national and international science landscapes can no longer be overlooked. Within those changes, reforms do not go ‘as planned’ but, as is always the case with processes of rationali- tion, have a series of unintended effects. At the same time it becomes incre- ingly clear who in this process are the winners and who are the losers, although this is still subject to fluctuation and change. This can be illustrated by two - amples from current events: Where the range of taught courses is concerned, as part of the Bologna Process the new structuring of student study paths and their organisation is aimed at unifying the European area of science to ensure a study that is equally permissive and efficient. However, it is to be deplored that the mobility of s- dents has become more restricted because of an increasing specialisation in the available study paths. Also, bachelor degrees do not meet with the anticipated high response from the labour market in all countries, so that the master’s degree is becoming more or less a ‘must’, while at the same time the number of study places on master’s courses is limited. Instead of the intended reduction in the duration of study time in comparison to the previous German ‘Magister’ and ‘Diplom’, rather a prolongation in the duration of studies has been recorded.

Against the background of population aging the central question of this thesis is the future development of people with dementia in Germany. Prevalences, incidence rates, co-morbidity and risk factors of dementia are calculated as basis for projection scenarios. Several assumptions of the life expectancy and dementia incidence were combined in multi-state projections. Results of the future number of people with dementia in 2050 range from 2.0 to 3.3 million. Also the costs of dementia, one of the most expensive diseases, were projected.

World wide economic, political and cultural changes transform labor markets, frames of divisions of work, labor organization and famly structures. This can be demonstrated in a specific way in Western, Middle and Eastern Europe, where globalization and forced technology development from the one side cross with transformations processes in forms of government from the other side. Our investigation within this context emphasizes the question, how the living conditions of working women in comarison with those of men are touched by these social overturns. The findings presented in this volume throw light on the ambiguities which political transformation and economic globalization effect on women ́s work. Women profit by the emergence of working places that are brought force by new market-activities. But at the same time many of them lose qualifies occupations by shifting from full-time to part-time jobs, from high paid sectors to low remunerated industries. In all countries we find gender-based income differences. The proportion of women in political organizations is everywhere lower than that of men. The growing time pressure in the employment system reinforces women ́s strain to combine household duties, child raising and paid work. Going beyond Europe we have to recognize the widening gap between industrialized regions and developing countries.
