Der vorliegende Band der ZRPh beinhaltet im ersten Teil verschriftlichte Beiträge einer interdisziplinären Tagung zum Thema "Freiheit in der pandemischen Krise". Darin wird der Versuch unternommen, aus philosophischer und juristischer Perspektive eine Bilanz der Corona-Jahre zu ziehen. Die Bilanzierung ist nicht allein ein Rückblick auf ein vergangenes Ereignis, sondern bemüht sich zugleich um eine Auslotung eines rechtlich möglichen Umgangs mit Pandemien. Dazu gehört im Beitrag von Michael Esfeld eine Verhältnisbestimmung von Naturwissenschaft und Rechtsstaat, die Bestimmung des Begriffs und der Bedeutung der "öffentlichen Gesundheit" von Thomas Sören Hoffmann sowie die Frage nach den Rechtfertigungsprinzipien der Schutzmaßnahmen (in den Texten von Luna Rösinger und Dietrich Murswiek), aber auch das Problem einer vermeintlichen Suspendierung des Rechts in Ausnahmelagen, das in den Aufsätzen von Katrin Gierhake, Luis Greco und Stephan Stübinger diskutiert wird. In drei weiteren Beiträgen werden die "ontologischen" Grundlagen des Rechts von Johann Braun, die "Rechte des Körpers" von Christoph Enders und der Autonomiebegriff im Kontext sog. "Künstlicher Intelligenz" thematisiert.
