(BVDA), •den Verbänden der Lokalpresse und Standortpresse, •dem Deutschen Multimedia Verband (dmmv), •dem Verband Privater Rundfunk und Telekommunikation (VPRT) und der in der Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft ver.di aufgegangenen IG Medien/Fachgruppe Journalismus bildet der Deutsche Journalisten-Verband e.V. (DJV) den Kreis der wesentlichen Verbände in der deutschen Medienwirtschaft. Den Zielen und Aktivitäten des Deutschen Journalisten-Verbandes e.V. (DJV) widmet sich diese Hausarbeit. Sie soll zeigen, warum der DJV für viele Journalisten in Deutschland und für die Medienwirtschaft insgesamt von großer Wichtigkeit ist. Zunächst wird die Geschichte des DJV skizziert und dargestellt, wie der Verband organisiert ist. Des weiteren werden die Ziele und Aktivitäten des DJV in Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft behandelt. Dem Thema „Redaktionsstatute“ wird ein eigenes Kapital gewidmet, weil der DJV diesem Thema angesichts der Bedeutung für •die „Innere Pressefreiheit“, also für die Art und den Umfang der journalistischen Unabhängigkeit von den wirtschaftlichen und politischen Interessen des Verlegers bzw. des Verlages, •den Medienkonsumenten und sein Vertrauen in die Glaubwürdigkeit der Medien, und insgesamt für die gelebte Demokratie in Deutschland besondere Beachtung schenkt.

In der vorliegenden Arbeit soll sowohl auf die grundsatzlichen als auch auf wichtige erganzende Themen eingegangen werden. Hierzu wird eingangs ein Uberblick uber die Geschichte des DJV gegeben.
