Der Autor Wolfgang T. Müller ist auf vielen deutschen Kreuzfahrtschiffen als sogenannter Lektor tätig und kann als "Staff" hinter die Kulissen sehen. Dort, wo kein Passagier je hinkommt. Er kennt die Auswirkungen der Seekrankheit wie kein Zweiter und hat aus vielen Reiseerlebnissen an Bord ein äußerst vergnügliches, satirisches Buch geschrieben, das in keiner Bordbibliothek und in keiner Reisetasche fehlen darf und einfach als ein "Must" mitgenommen werden soll auf die große Reise über den Weltmeeren. Trotz allen Humors ist dieses Buch "Zum Kotzen" ein wertvoller Ratgeber rund um das Thema "Seekrankheiten". Viele Tipps und Tricks von der Prävention bis hin zur Behandlung einer Seekrankheit im Notfall finden sich in diesem Reiseführer der besonderen Art. Auch alternativmedizinische und homöopathische Empfehlungen wie Ingwer, Bachblüten und Globolis sind dort genauso zu finden wie die Geheimtipps der russischen Seeleute oder skurille Dinge wie Seebrillen. Auch der Bordpfarrer hat so seine ganz eigenen Methoden und es gibt sogar ein ganze Kapitel zu "Kotzen aus spiritueller Sicht". Dass auch des deutschen Urlaubers allerliebste Beschäftigung, nämlich das "Sonnenliegenreservieren" eine Steigerung auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff findet und vom Autoren liebevoll karikiert wird, versteht sich von selbst. Diese Buch mit dem sehr provokativen, aber bewusst ausgewählten Titel "Zum Kotzen" ist sicherlich eines der humorvollsten Reiseratgeber für alle Kreuzfahrtsüchtigen.
