Die Notwendigkeit, kooperatives Lernen in den Unterricht zu integrieren, steht heute nicht mehr in Frage. Ein ständig und immer schneller anwachsendes Wissen und sich ändernde Strukturen in der Wirtschaft und im Zusammenleben der Menschen erfordern Eigenschaften, wie zum Beispiel Kreativität, Eigeninitiative, Kooperationsfähigkeit und selbständiges lebenslanges Lernen (zsfd. vgl. Weidner 2003, 17ff.). Die Formen kooperativen Lernens sind nach Slavin dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ‘Schüler in kleineren Gruppen arbeiten, um sich beim Lernen des Stoffes gegenseitig zu helfen’ (vgl. Slavin 1989, S. 129). Außerdem gilt es als ein Prozess, der ‘meist’ konkurrenzfrei abläuft. Die Befreiung von diesem Druck gibt Lehrern eine ganz neue Möglichkeit Wissen zu vermitteln (vgl. Orlick 1984, S. 15). Die Möglichkeiten dadurch zum Sport und durch Sport zu erziehen, sind immens. Zunächst erfolgt ein theoretischer Abriss, in dem kooperatives Lernen in Bezug auf seine Merkmale und Möglichkeiten der Integration in den Unterricht untersucht und erste Ergebnisse über die Effektivität dieser Unterrichtsmethode im Fachbereich Sport dargelegt werden. Weiterhin geht es um das Prinzip des erziehenden Sportunterrichts und des in den Sportunterricht integrierten Doppelauftrags der Erziehung zum und durch Sport. Daran anschließend werden die Möglichkeiten und Voraussetzungen für kooperatives Lernen im Sportunterricht und sein Potenzial im Hinblick auf die Erziehung zum und durch Sport untersucht. Der anschließende Praxisteil ist der Versuch, über die Vorstellung konkreter Unterrichtsbeispiele, Varianten des Einsatzes kooperativer Lernformen und deren möglichen Beitrag zur Erziehung zum lebenslangen nachhaltigen Sporttreiben (Erziehung zum Sport) und zur Persönlichkeitsentwicklung (Erziehung durch Sport) aufzuzeigen.

Critical Rationalism has become an influential philosophy in many areas including a great number of scientific disciplines.
