Hace algunos años leí el texto de Aproximación al concepto de verdad en Santo Tomás de Aquino, que constituyó la tesis de licenciatura en Filosofía de su autor, D. Pablo Cervera, en el Angelicum. Abelardo Lobato, su director, me había hablado muy bien de ella, y ciertamente pude comprobar que era una excelente investigación. Recomendé, por ello, a este fiel discípulo del conocido y apreciado P. Lobato, que la publicara. Por diversos motivos, probablemente por la preparación de numerosos libros, que aparecieron en los años siguientes y por su constante y múltiple actividad editorial, se aplazó el que se diera a la imprenta. Es hoy una satisfacción para mí, que aparezca lo que se puede considerar su primer libro, y especialmente que me haya invitado a escribir su prólogo. Confiesa Pablo Cervera, en la Introducción del libro, que con este estudio inició sus «primeros pasos filosóficos». El tiempo ha demostrado que iban muy bien dirigidos con la luz de santo Tomás y bajo la guía de sus excelentes maestros tomistas Francisco Canals y Abelardo Lobato.
