Facharbeit (Schule) aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Biologie - Ökologie, Note: 5,5, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die wissenschaftliche Arbeit "Ökologische Folgen unseres Fleischkonsums auf die Umwelt" setzt sich primär damit auseinander, in welcher Hinsicht der menschliche Fleischkonsum Auswirkungen auf unsere Umwelt hat. Ich untersuche in dieser interdisziplinären Arbeit, welche negativen Auswirkungen unser Konsumverhalten hat und wie ein nachhaltigeres Verhalten zugunsten der Umwelt möglich wäre. Ich möchte den Lesern aufzeigen, was für gravierende Folgen der Fleischkonsum mit sich bringt, sei es auf Menschen, Tier oder Umwelt. In dieser Arbeit werde ich mich mit der Fragestellung auseinander setzten, wie sich der übermäßige und wachsende Fleischkonsum auf unsere Umwelt und das Klima auswirkt. Hierfür werde ich in einem ersten Kapitel den Begriff Klimawandel erläutern und auf die verschiedenen Arten des Fleischverzichtes eingehen. In einem weiteren Schritt werde ich auf den Fleischkonsum eingehen und dabei die Entwicklung aufzeigen und die Auswirkungen auf Umwelt und Klima beleuchten. Dazu erfolgt auch die Primärforschung in Form einer Umfrage. Mit dieser Arbeit möchte ich die Augen der Leser öffnen und die Folgen unseren Essgewohnheiten aufzeigen. So, dass jeder in Zukunft gewillt ist, seinen Fleischkonsum zu überdenken und somit seinen ökologischen Fußabdruck in dieser Welt zu verringern.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Politik - Internationale Politik - Thema: Sonstiges, Note: 1,3, Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (IPW), Veranstaltung: Technische und ökonomische Strategien zur Überwindung der künftigen globalen Herausforderungen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit thematisiert den Fleischkonsum und setzt sich mit der Fragestellung auseinander, wie sich der übermäßige und wachsende Fleischkonsum auf unsere Umwelt und das Klima auswirkt. In den vergangenen Jahren hat der weltweite Fleischkonsum stark zugenommen, dies wirkt sich nicht nur auf Menschen und Tier aus, sondern auch auf die Umwelt und das Klima. Da die Fleischproduktion im Gegensatz zu anderen Lebensmitteln einen sehr hohen ökologischen Fußabdruck aufweist und bereits heute durch die Treibhausgasemissionen erheblich zum Klimawandel beiträgt, wird der übermäßige Konsum von Fleisch und anderen tierischen Produkten stark kritisiert und in vielen gesellschaftlichen und politischen Debatten öffentlich diskutiert. Hierfür werde ich mich im ersten Kapitel mit der Entwicklung und Prognose des Fleischkonsums beschäftigen. Anhand des Pro-Kopf-Verbrauches werde ich den Verbrauch einiger Länder des globalen Nordens mit dem einiger Länder des globalen Südens vergleichen und die tatsächlich erzeugten Schlachtmassen in Deutschland untersuchen. Im nächsten Kapitel werde ich die Folgen des Fleischkonsums auf die Umwelt beleuchten. Hierfür möchte ich zunächst den Bedarf an Ackerfläche für die Produktion von Tierfutter darstellen. Auch hierbei gehe ich sowohl auf die weltweite, als auch auf die deutschlandweite Nutzfläche für den Anbau von Tierfutter ein und erkläre den Begriff des virtuellen Flächenimports. Um den hohen Flächenbedarf zu verdeutlichen, werde ich zudem anhand der benötigen Quadratmeter pro 1000 Kilokalorien, den Flächenbedarf von Fleisch und Brot Vergleichen. Des Weiteren werde ich sowohl den Wasserverbrauch des Fleisches beleuchten, indem ich ebenfalls einen Vergleich zwischen dem des Fleisches und dem der Kartoffeln ziehe und ich werde erläutern, was der Begriff virtuelles Wasser bedeutet. Folglich werde ich dann auf die aus der Fleischproduktion resultierende Wasserverschmutzung eingehen. Im vierten Kapitel möchte ich mich mit der Klimabilanz auseinandersetzten. Hierfür gehe ich auf den CO2, Methan und Lachgas Ausstoß der Fleischproduktion ein. Außerdem werde ich die Folgen der Rodung der Wälder insbesondere des Regenwaldes und ihre Folgen auf unser Klima beleuchten. Im Fazit werde ich selbst Stellung zu dem Thema nehmen und versuchen Lösungsansätze zu finden, welchen den übermäßigen Fleischkonsum hemmen sollen.
