ÚLTIMO VUELO es el resultado de investigaciones, pesquisas objetivas, sobre un puñado de historias del tan trágico y emocionante siglo pasado, son historias olvidadas dentro de trascendentales sucesos, pero no por ello menos importantes o interesantes. En las historias aquí desarrolladas se conocerá la vida de los personajes, como también la coyuntura socio histórica que los rodeaba, lo que intentará este libro es, mediante el análisis objetivo de los datos, explicar las causas y consecuencias de la muerte de nuestros personajes. Lo que une entre sí a estas historias, es compartir dos factores en común: tratarse de personalidades que alcanzaron reconocimiento internacional y el destino fatal de morir en tragedias aéreas. Cuenta primero la historia de una pequeña americana llamada Samantha Smith, que supo alcanzar fama y reconocimiento mundial como una abanderada de la paz en medio de la Guerra Fría, cuando esta alcanzaba su pico de mayor tensión tras la salida de Jimmy Carter, y el ascenso al poder de Ronald Reagan en los Estados Unidos. Luego la trágica historia del genocidio ruandés en 1994 tras el asesinato de su presidente, Juvénal Habyarimana, quien gobernó durante más de dos décadas con mano de hierro esa humilde nación centroafricana. El tercer capítulo cuenta la historia de uno de los tres grandes líderes de la revolución cubana, el célebre Camilo Cienfuegos, de quien se cuenta su hermosa historia y su misterioso final. Luego le toca el turno Omar Torrijos, líder absoluto de la revolución panameña quien logró firmar el nuevo tratado del Canal de Panamá, el cual concluía con el predomino americano sobre ese pequeño país centroamericano. Y por último, un capítulo doble donde se cuenta la historia de dos valientes aviadoras que supieron hacerse camino en los aires superando barreras discriminatorias en el naciente siglo XX, las sagaces y talentosas Amy Johnson y Amelia Earhart.
