Lassen sich fachspezifische Diskurse zu den Qualitäten verschiedenster kultureller Praxen auf einer sie vermittelnden Gesprächsebene zueinander in Beziehung setzen? ‚Ästhetik und Artikulation‘ zusammen zu denken, erlaubt genau das: Gesellschaftliches Tun, sein Wert und die dabei stattfindende Wertschöpfung wird als etwas aufgegriffen und verhandelt, das es zunächst in seiner aufgabenbezogenen Artikulation zu erschließen gilt. Derartiges Aufschließen von Praxen zielt darauf ab, diese in ihrer Formgebung zu beschreiben. Dadurch werden kulturelle Praktiken konkret vorstellbar und in ihrer Gelingensqualität, als einer Manifestation von Ästhetik, beurteilbar. Die damit verbundene Einladung ist, sensibler und genauer zu werden in der Wahrnehmung von Aufgabenstellungen der verschiedensten Praxen und der Qualität ihrer Artikulationen. Insofern möchte das Buch zum aktiven Gebrauch der eigenen Urteilskraft anregen, einer Kraft, die durch die aufgabenbezogene Beschreibung verschiedener kultureller Räume sowie durch die Charakterisierung der realisierten Artikulation erst arbeitsfähig wird. Mit aktivierter Urteilskraft lassen sich allgemeinverständliche Dialoge darüber führen, was wir an unseren gesellschaftlichen Praxen mit Gründen wertschätzen und was wir ändern wollen, weil unser subjektiv-intersubjektives (ästhetisches) Urteil einschätzbar macht, was einer menschengemäßen Zweckmäßigkeit entspricht oder widerspricht. Zu einigen dieser gesellschaftlich notwendigen Dialoge, z.B. über die Qualität von Gestaltungen, Strukturen, Formennutzungen und bildender Formeneinübung, leistet das Buch Beiträge.
