The main theme of volume 6 of Eco-ethica is "Ethics and Justice" which focuses on the idea of "justice" in a metaphysical, social, and personal sense. Justice is considered as a balance between opposite ambitions in interdependent persons, and as equity in legislation, but not as blind justice. Today it is valuable not only on the national, but also on the cosmopolitan level. Before it became personal justice, the idea of justice was considered metaphysical and social, both in European and Chinese culture. This book examines Religious Education (RE) in over ten countries, including Australia, Indonesia, Mali, Russia, UK, Ireland, USA, and Canada. Investigating RE from a global and multi-interdisciplinary perspective, it presents research on the diverse past, present, and possible future forms of RE. In doing so, it enhances public and professional understanding of the complex issues and debates surrounding RE in the wider world. The volume emphasizes a student-centred approach, viewing any kind of ‘RE’, or its absence, as a formative lived experience for pupils. It stresses a bottom-up, sociological and ethnographic/anthropological research-based approach to the study of RE, rather than the ‘top down’ approaches which often start from prescriptive legal, ideological or religious standpoints. The twelve chapters in this volume regard RE as an entity that has multiple and contested meanings and interpretations that are constantly negotiated. For some, ‘RE’ means religious nurturing, either tailored to parental views or meant to inculcate a uniform religiosity. For others, RE means learning about the many religious and non-religious world-views and secular ethics that exist, not promoting one religion or another. Some seek to avoid the ambiguous term ‘religious education’, replacing it with terms such as ‘education about religions and beliefs’ or ‘the religious dimension of intercultural education’.

An enlightened discussion of all relevant aspects of architecture shows the necessity for revision of commonly held assumptions about the nature of architectural history, theory, representation, and ideation; the production of buildings in the postindustrial city; and professional ethics. These topics provide the basis for the fourteen interdisciplinary papers presented here. The introductory section includes an examination of the epistemological origins of technology in the early modern European context and two alternative visions of ethics and its potential relevance for architecture. The second part presents four perspectives on important questions about how we represent buildings and the ethical values involved in that representation. "Ethics and Poetics in the Context of Technological Production" considers the role of philosophical ethics (i.e., a rational structure of categories in architectural practice) and the possibility, and desirability, of incorporating ethical reflections into the generation of architectural form. "The Architectural Uses of History and Narrative in a Technocratic World" explores alternatives for articulating an ethical attitude in forms of discourse other than philosophy and science. Cette thèse interroge les cadres éthique et déontologique dans les processus de formations journalistiques à Kinshasa, en République démocratique du Congo. Elle se centre sur les années 2008 et 2010. Elle décrit, analyse et essaie de comprendre les manières dont les étudiants s'approprient ces cadres qui dessinent un cadre professionnel, interrogent les fondements journalistiques d'un point de vue politique et démocratique. Pour cela, elle considère les « représentations professionnelles » comme concept de base. Avec une méthodologie empirique de terrain dans un cadre systémique, cette thèse prend appui sur 61 entretiens semi-directifs et intègre une démarche qualitative, diachronique et comparative. Elle se focalise sur les étudiants de 3e graduat et de 2e licence de trois établissements universitaires différents. Il s'agit de l’Université catholique du Congo, de l’Institut facultaire des sciences de l’information et de la communication et de l’Université de Kinshasa Ces représentations qui ne sont ni statiques ni homogènes traduisent plusieurs compréhensions du journalisme. Elles mettent au jour différents modèles du journalisme. Au-delà, elles laissent transparaître un cadre identitaire par le biais du type de rapport au savoir entretenu par les étudiants rencontrés. Sur cette base, l’étude suggère plusieurs profils d’étudiants. Lesquels étudiants, mis dans le contexte de la pratique journalistique concrète, lors des stages ou des prestations occasionnelles, développent des stratégies diverses, devant la difficulté de mettre en oeuvre les normes apprises sur le champ des formations.

Sand injectites form during shallow-crustal deformation. Short periods of elevated pore-fluid pressure, which developed regionally, triggered formation of hydrofracture networks into which sand was sometimes injected. Sand injection complexes preserve a record of this process and sandstone intrusions are significant reservoirs in many petroleum systems. Most known subsurface sand injection complexes are from offshore NW Europe and associated with Paleogene strata. Outcrop occurrence is global. Sand injection into unconventional host rocks, including granitoid and metamorphic basement and coal seams, raises awareness of the breadth of geological environments in which sand injection may occur. Discordance between sandstone intrusions and sedimentary hosts occurs on a scale from millimetres to kilometres and is a fundamental diagnostic of intrusions. Microscale textural characterization provides new opportunities to establish possible additional criteria for differentiating intrusions from depositional sandstone. The significance of sand injection complexes in shallow crustal evolution is exemplified by the wide range of lithological hosts and diverse tectonostratigraphic settings documented in this volume. Potential for original research still remains.
