Şi unii şi alţii au de învăţat din aceste două epistole: cei dintâi, cum să-şi isprăvească alergarea; cei din urmă, cum să ducă mai departe lucrurile bune moştenite de la înaintaşi, pentru ca fiecare dintre aceştia, la rândul lor, să poată spune precum Pavel: "A Împăratului veşniciilor, a nemuritorului, nevăzutului şi singurului Dumnezeu, să fie cinstea şi slava în vecii vecilor! Amin" (1 Tim. 1:17)
