From USA Today Bestselling author, MJ Fields, comes a gripping story of love and it's many truths. Once upon a time, Luke Lane loved a little, stubborn, delusional girl, and that little girl was me. My fairytale happy ever after always included my black-haired, blue-eyed, knight in shining armor, and that knight was Luke Lane. Then I grew up and convinced myself that it wasn't a fairytale after all. It was Fate. I twisted Fate to make her story come to life, but Fate fought back, and now I am looking at a man I still love, but he doesn't feel the same. I have to walk away. Not just for me, but for him. And not for the version of him who broke my heart, but for the version who was truly a knight in shining armor to the little girl I was, so many fairy tales ago.

Although not necessary, The Blue Valley, Brody Hines, and The Burning Souls series can be read before The Truth About Love. This is not Steel or Caldwell, but at the core is a strong family just the same. It does not promise a typical HEA or laughs. This is heart, heat, and will evoke feelings that are not always pleasant.

Once Upon A Time I dreamed of growing up and being just like her. I dreamed of having an adoring husband, two kids, and a beautiful home where my family would come together and enjoy all of our happy ever afters. But fate had other plans. My road wasn’t easy, it was heartbreaking, and she was there, in the distance, silently supporting me. When all the angst, all the pain, worked its way out, she was there too, but not how she’d always promised, she was there from an unbridgeable distance. With distance and broken promises, I began to build a wall. She would never be the mother she was, and I would not allow her to hinder the mother I am. Life is nothing without love. Life is nothing without hope. Life is nothing without dreams. And life is not lived fully until you understand the finality of… Goodbye.

Gandhi S Truths In An Age Of Fundamentalism And Nationalism written by Sathianathan Clarke and has been published by Fortress Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-03-08 with Religion categories.

The twenty-first century has seen violence thunder back onto the stage of history. Religious, political, social, cultural, and economic constituents and interests thus contribute to the local and global manifestations of violence in our interconnected and contracting global world. Firmly embedded within the field of religion, the authors of this volume concede that religious motifs and impulses are alive and well in this unfolding of bloodshed. It is no wonder then that in our volatile historical age, religious fundamentalism and illiberal nationalism have emerged as dominant contemporary movements. Against this backdrop, the contributors to this edited book look back in order to move forward by reflecting upon the truth-force (Satyagraha) that grounded and guided Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948). On the heels of several commemorations in 2019 of the 150th anniversary of Gandhi's birth, we reexamine the truths of his philosophy and nonviolent strategy to resist religious and political fundamentalisms. Embracing truth was, for Gandhi, the only way to achieve complete freedom (poorna Swaraj). The goal of freedom, which Gandhi conceptualized as profoundly personal, expansively communitarian, and organically ecological, emanates from a firm grasp of truth.

The Truth About Nature written by Bram Büscher and has been published by Univ of California Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-12-15 with Social Science categories.

How should we share the truth about the environmental crisis? At a moment when even the most basic facts about ecology and the climate face contestation and contempt, environmental advocates are at an impasse. Many have turned to social media and digital technologies to shift the tide. But what if their strategy is not only flawed, but dangerous? The Truth about Nature follows environmental actors as they turn to the internet to save nature. It documents how conservation efforts are transformed through the political economy of platforms and the algorithmic feeds that have been instrumental to the rise of post-truth politics. Developing a novel account of post-truth as an expression of power under platform capitalism, Bram Büscher shows how environmental actors attempt to mediate between structural forms of platform power and the contingent histories and contexts of particular environmental issues. Bringing efforts at wildlife protection in Southern Africa into dialogue with a sweeping analysis of truth and power in the twenty-first century, Büscher makes the case for a new environmental politics that radically reignites the art of speaking truth to power.

Aristotle And Confucius On Rhetoric And Truth

Aristotle And Confucius On Rhetoric And Truth written by Haixia Lan and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-11-10 with History categories.

The current study argues that different cultures can coexist better today if we focus not only on what separates them but also on what connects them. To do so, the author discusses how both Aristotle and Confucius see rhetoric as a mode of thinking that is indispensable to the human understanding of the truths of things or dao-the-way, or, how both see the human understanding of the truths of things or dao-the-way as necessarily communal, open-ended, and discursive. Based on this similarity, the author aims to develop a more nuanced understanding of differences to help foster better cross-cultural communication. In making the argument, she critically examines two stereotyped views: that Aristotle’s concept of essence or truth is too static to be relevant to the rhetorical focus on the realm of human affairs and that Confucius’ concept of dao-the-way is too decentered to be compatible with the inferential/discursive thinking. In addition, the author relies primarily on the interpretations of the Analects by two 20th-century Chinese Confucians to supplement the overreliance on renderings of the Analects in recent comparative rhetorical scholarship. The study shows that we need an in-depth understanding of both the other and the self to comprehend the relation between the two.
