Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Kunst - Architektur, Baugeschichte, Denkmalpflege, Note: gut, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Kunsthistorisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Seminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Denkmalpflege und Denkmalschutz gehören heute zu den wichtigsten Aufgaben des Staates auf kulturellem Gebiet. Mit Beginn des Industriezeitalters wurde die Grundlage für unseren heutigen materiellen Wohlstand gelegt. Allerdings rückt diese Zeit fast ebenso weit zurück, so scheint es, wie die Zeit der ersten Manufakturen. Dabei liegt sie gerade vier oder fünf Generationen zurück. Ab 1927 ballten sich die Bemühungen um die Erhaltung technikhistorischer Zeugnisse. In Deutschland gelten Industriedenkmale seit etwa 1970 als Zeugnisse der Vergangenheit, die ebenbürtig mit Kunstdenkmalen wie Schlösser oder Kirchen sind. Unser Land ist in den gut zweihundert Jahren der Industrialisierung in einem Maße umgestaltet worden, wie in allen vorangegangen Jahrhunderten zusammen genommen nicht. Deutschlands Weg zur Industrienation ist überreich an architektgeschichtlich hervorragenden Bauwerken, wie Brücken, Bahnhöfen und Fabriken. Zweifellos ist Deutschland ein industriell geprägtes Land. Was aber hat sich seit 1970 im Bereich der Industriedenkmalpflege in Deutschland getan? Wer bemüht sich um den Erhalt dieser geschichtsträchtigen Zeugnisse? Wie wird ihr Bestand weiterhin erhalten? Und wie ist der Stand speziell in Thüringen? Diese Hausarbeit wird sich mit diesen Fragen beschäftigen. Allerdings kann es nicht Gegenstand dieser Hausarbeit sein, jeden Verlust oder Gewinn jedes einzelnen Bundeslandes zu beschreiben.
