This book is designed for men who want to improve their relationship with their wife (Bride) and children. It is based on the wisdom and advice I have learned over 20+ years of marriage. I want to share with other men the lessons that I have learned in hopes that they can have a deeper and more meaningful relationship with their Bride. You will find throughout the book that I refer to my wife as my Bride. This is a term of endearment and affection that serves as a reminder of the special relationship we have. Even though we have been married for 20+ years, I still refer to her as my Bride. I have heard it said many that there are three areas in our life that bring stress to a marriage: 1. Money 2. Children 3. Intimacy In this book you will find that we address these three areas as well as several others. The book is designed with seven key sections: Section One: THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MATTER This section has some simple ideas and concepts that can "jump start" your relationship. Section Two: LISTENING AND THE THINGS WE SAY This section has some simple concepts to read and understand, and are very powerful when applied, but will require great discipline to put into action. Section Three: HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME We all only have 24 hours in a day and this section helps the reader think about how to best allocate their time. Section Four: SPIRITUAL INTIMACY This section is all about drawing closer to your Bride from a spiritual perspective. Section Five: PHYSICAL INTIMACY This section is all about drawing closer to your Bride from a physical perspective. Section Six: THE THINGS YOU NEED TO DO AND REMEMBER This section is all about motivation and intention. Section Seven: HOW WE SPEND OUR MONEY This section will describe several of the key pitfalls in marriage and resources for improving how money is used. There is an additional section on FINAL THOUGHTS as well as a "bonus" chapter. I have broken the ideas into 52 short chapters that can provide the reader with one concept to work on each week. There are practical examples from my own marriage as well as lessons learned from other sources. Finally, this book does not attempt to be a comprehensive guide to marriage and family. It is more of an idea generator and thought starter. You will find that I point the reader to many different resources that have proven very helpful in my relationship with my Bride and children. I hope you enjoy the book and it proves a useful resource and guide.

Arthur Miller written by Christopher Bigsby and has been published by Hachette UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-12-30 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

Biography of one of the greatest of modern playwrights, Arthur Miller (1915-2005). This is the long-awaited biography of one of the twentieth century's greatest playwrights whose postwar decade of work earned him international critical and popular acclaim. Arthur Miller was a prominent figure in American literature and cinema for over sixty years, writing a wide variety of plays - including The Crucible, A View from the Bridge, All My Sons, and Death of a Salesman - which are still performed, studied and lauded throughout the world. Born in 1915 to moderately affluent Jewish-American parents, Miller wrote during a fascinating time in American history. The Great Depression was a period of deprivation for many that left an indelible mark on the national psyche, and, like many, Miller found hope for the beleaguered common man in Communism. The Second World War elevated the common man to war hero, but when the Cold War subsequently began, the ugly elements of American conservatism freely persecuted writers and artists who had embraced Communism. Miller was among them. His refusal to give evidence against others to the notorious House Un-American Activities Committee in 1956 gave him a heroic role to play. In that same year, Arthur Miller momentously married the young actress Marilyn Monroe, a marriage that remains famous to this day. Christopher Bigsby's gripping, meticulously researched biography, based on boxes of papers made available to him before Miller's death, offers new insights into their marriage, and sheds new light on how their relationship informed Miller's subsequent great plays. After his death in 2005, many respected actors, directors and producers paid tribute to Miller, calling him 'the last great practitioner of the American stage'. Christopher Bigsby's supremely authoritative biography does full justice to Miller's life and art.

Grown Up Marriage written by Judith Viorst and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-06-23 with Family & Relationships categories.

Although marriage is for grown-ups, very few of us are grown up when we marry. Here, the bestselling author of Suddenly Sixty and Necessary Losses presents her life-affirming perspective on the joys, heartaches, difficulties, and possibilities of a grown-up marriage -- and no, that's not an oxymoron! Featuring interviews with married women and men, the findings of couples therapists, the truths offered by literature and movies, and a bemused exploration of her own marriage, Judith Viorst illuminates the issues couples struggle with from "I do" through "till death do us part." Examining marital rivalry, marital manners, marital sex (extramarital, too), marital fighting and apologies, what kids do for (and to) marriage, and the boredom and bliss of everyday married life, Viorst leaves no marital stone unturned. From the early years when we wonder "Who is this person?" and "What am I doing here?" to the realities of divorce, remarriage, and growing older (and old) together, Viorst offers insights and advice with honesty, humanity, and humor -- all the while recognizing how tough it is to be married and, when it works, how very precious it can be.
