"Caminhos de fé e cura: histórias de vida", é fruto da pesquisa de mestrado de Concília Cléria Ferreira Muniz, desenvolvida junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem, da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. Trata-se de um trabalho inovador e academicamente bem fundamentado, que lança luz sobre um tema relevante: A presença da fé em processos de cura e a relação entre esses dois elementos. O estudo nos mostra que processos de cura relacionados à fé reúnem pessoas de diferentes classes sociais, que, na maioria das vezes, recorrem tanto aos recursos tradicionais da medicina ocidental, quanto a rituais religiosos, para mobilizar forças sobrenaturais em seu benefício. Ou seja: a relação entre fé e cura, enquanto tema, é tão importante que transcende até mesmo barreiras sociais. A leitura nos oferece uma visão sensível e bem elaborada sobre as histórias de vida dos sujeitos pesquisados, que vivenciaram experiências de cura influenciadas pela fé. Dessa forma, temos um texto interessante e envolvente, no qual são identificados, através de histórias de vida, elementos que influenciam esses processos de cura e sua relação com a fé desses indivíduos. Partindo dessa perspectiva, observamos que o sujeito assume um papel ativo no seu processo de cura, que ganha contornos mais subjetivos na medida em que passam a ser consideradas questões de ordem psíquica, social e espiritual e não apenas de ordem biológica.
