Offering a companion text to Building Consulting Skills for Sport and Performance Psychology: An International Case Study Collection, this book provides three solutions for each of the case studies introduced. In so doing, it highlights that there is no "one-answer-fits-all" solution to the common issues with sport and performance psychology consulting and offers various suggestions for how an individual may wish to approach these and similar cases. Solutions address the CEDI principles (Case Conceptualization, Ethical Considerations, Diversity Awareness/Reflection, and Intervention Planning and Evaluation), as well as any case-specific questions. This clearly structured book serves as a useful resource for instructors looking to deepen discussion and offer alternatives to students’ ideas on how to approach certain cases. It will also be of interest to practitioners when approaching similar situations in their own work and looking for new pathways that they may not have considered.

In this book, Debra Eckerman Pitton provides a bridge from the theoretical to the practical, using case studies to engage pre-service teachers in the analysis of situations and the problem-solving they will need to do in the classroom.

Over the course of twenty years and across three editions, this text has approached case management as both an art and a science by providing students and practitioners with the basics of case management theory, skills, and applications. This fourth edition, which focuses on both the social work and nursing professions, offers trainers, instructors, and students detailed information about how case management is delivered, major issues encountered in practice, how services are affected by different populations, and the unique skills that are required by case managers in order to be effective. Chapter exercises and numerous case examples help readers practice some of the skills associated with the content offered. Case Management is unique in that it brings together the major professions that conduct case management in the United States. It is focused on skill learning more than on theory, and discusses not only the importance of case management in the current social work and medical milieu, but also the challenges that case managers face in helping clients. In addition, the text offers a model for integrated case management between professions and in numerous settings, including nursing centers, community mental health facilities, and criminal justice centers.

This paper studies alternative certification schemes for organic products in order to draw conclusions regarding the institutional support and technological development required for compliance with organic standards. It discusses third party certification, for both individuals and farmer groups, as well as participatory certification. Case studies from developing countries and countries in transition engaged in organic rice and organic fruit and vegetable production are examined. Issues analysed include the organizational structure and marketing strategies in the organic supply chain. The paper also discusses the institutional development that is needed to provide business and technical services and establish the quality assurance system. Organizational, managerial and business skills required by the lead stakeholders in the organic chain are analysed as well as the costs that they incur for effectively managing organic projects. Similarly, the managerial skills required at the farm level are considered as is the use of cost-benefit analysis. The paper also reviews the legal and institutional framework that facilitates organic production and certification. The paper is aimed at staff of government, private and non-government organizations working at the policy level and in the field, and at donors' organizations that support organic production and certification.
