What is so unique about Islam's scripture, the Quran? Who wrote it, and when? Can we trust its statements to be from Muhammad? Why was it written in Arabic? Does it command Muslims to fight Christians? These are a few of the thirty questions answered in this clear and concise guide to the history and contents of the Quran. Ayman Ibrahim grew up in the Muslim world and has spent many years teaching various courses on Islam. Using a question-and-answer format, Ibrahim covers critical questions about the most sacred book for Muslims. He examines Muslim and non-Muslim views concerning the Quran, shows how the Quran is used in contemporary expressions of Islam, answers many of the key questions non-Muslims have about the Quran and Islam, and reveals the importance of understanding the Quran for Christian-Muslim and Jewish-Muslim interfaith relations. This introductory guide is written for anyone with little to no knowledge of Islam who wants to learn about Muslims, their beliefs, and their scripture.

Shining The Gospel Light On The Quran written by Abjar Bahkou and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021 with Bible categories.
Witnessing to Muslims should come with respect and compassion toward their differing beliefs. Yet historically, this has not been the truth. Author Abjar Bahkou has spent many years teaching about Muslim-Christian encounters locally and globally, creating the seed that grew into this book. He has personally lived these challenges in Syria and was always encouraged to face them by learning about God, who, in the incarnation, breaks in and builds bridges with humans. He did that by becoming one of us: He built the bridge to Christians in the person of Jesus Christ so that we would become His children. This book divides the task of sharing the Gospel with Muslims into four steps. First, see how to critically and respectfully engage with Islam and its teachings. Second, consider the teachings of Islam from a Christian perspective, learning the differences between Islam and Christianity. Third, learn how to respectfully answer Islam's questions about Christian doctrine. Finally, explore practical steps to minister and share a contextualized Gospel message with Muslims. Book jacket.

The Gentle Answer To The Muslim Accusation Of Biblical Falsification written by Gordon D. Nickel and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-12-23 with Christianity and other religions categories.
The Gentle Answer is a scholarly response to a claim that many Muslims have been making in relation to non-Muslims for more than 1200 years: that the text of the Bible is corrupt and/or falsified. The Muslim claim affects both Jews and Christians and has been a source of discouragement and bad feeling for non-Muslims living in Muslim-majority societies. At the same time, Muslims claim that their scripture, the Qur'an, is exactly the same in every detail since the time it was first recited. Both claims continue to be made boldly in the age of Internet websites and YouTube.Academic scholarship on the Bible and the Qur'an supports neither of the Muslim claims, but since critical writing on the Bible is more abundant and has a longer history, Muslim polemicists have selectively used Western biblical criticism in an attempt to support the traditional Muslim accusation of biblical falsification. Only comparatively recently have the techniques used in biblical criticism been applied to the Qur'an. The Gentle Answer responds to the Muslim claims by placing the Bible and the Qur'an on a level scholarly playing field to show that the scholarly questions about the Qur'an are at least as challenging as questions about the Bible. Since many of the scholarly questions are similar, Muslims and non-Muslims have good reason to work together at the answers. In the meantime, Muslims and non-Muslims have the opportunity to enter a friendly faith conversation in which the contents of the scriptures themselves are carefully considered and discussed. The Gentle Answer responds in such a way as to invite conversation rather than to perpetuate the acrimony that has often accompanied discussion of religious differences. Respect for the accuser means taking issues of truth seriously. It means doing one's best to thoroughly understand the accusation. It also means commending one's own faith with an understanding of the accuser's worldview. Differences in faith between Muslims and non-Muslims show no sign of going away in the years to come. But in a world of considerable political tension and violence, Muslims and non-Muslims must seize the freedom to openly discuss their differences together while nurturing mutual respect and committing to peaceful coexistence.

Understanding Islam's sacred text is integral to understanding your Muslim neighbor Cross-cultural missionary and scholar Matthew Aaron Bennett blends the insights of Islamic believers, secular Qur'an scholars, and missionaries to Muslims, making The Qur'an and the Christian like no other resource for Christian ministry to Muslims. Combining these perspectives in one guide better equips Christians to communicate the biblical gospel to friends and neighbors who are adherents to Islam--both in and out of majority-Muslim cultures. The Qur'an and the Christian addresses issues both simple and profound, such as: 1. How the Qur'an came to be, including Muhammed and the Qur'an's textual precursors 2. The major themes of the Qur'an and how these shape the practice of Islam 3. The presence of Bible characters, Jews, and Christians in the Qur'anic text 4. Whether and how a Christian should read the Qur'an 5. Avoiding miscommunication with Muslims when the Qur'an and Christian teaching seem to overlap This book will help Christians learn how to explore Islamic faith with missiological wisdom and biblical precision. The Qur'an and the Christian will give believers the insight to deepen friendships, promote understanding, and clarify the biblical gospel among Muslim friends and neighbors.
