O presente livro aborda um dos temas mais graves enfrentados pela população brasileira e mundial, que é o trabalho infantil, em especial, o trabalho sexual comercial de crianças e adolescentes, realizando uma análise à luz dos direitos fundamentais e do princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana. Ainda, aborda as principais normas nacionais e internacionais protetoras das crianças e adolescentes, a vulnerabilidade a que estão acometidos e os princípios a elas dirigidos. Em complemento, também são tratadas as piores formas de trabalho infantil consideradas pela Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT), com enfoque especial ao trabalho sexual comercial infantil, suas consequências e criminalização. A autora, visando trazer à tona práticas concretas para o afastamento das crianças e adolescentes do mercado de trabalho, especifica políticas públicas no Brasil e no mundo sobre o tema em comento, com enfoque na atuação do Ministério Público do Trabalho (MPT), inclusive com a apresentação de Termos de Ajuste de Conduta firmados a partir da atuação do órgão e de Ações Civis Públicas ajuizadas pelo MPT. Em suma, o presente livro além do conteúdo teórico, apresenta uma abordagem prática acerca do tema e serve de referência para operadores do Direito, estudantes de graduação, e candidatos a concursos públicos.
