During my last days on Malachee,I told Diamondback Jack it didn't matterhow many souls I sent to an early grave,I could only die once for my sins. Turns out, I was wrong.Tashndelu of the High Sand got her revenge on the man who defiled and murdered her mother and did his damnedest to kill her, but now she has to pay the price. For his death, and all the others she caused in her quest for vengeance. Now she lives, if you can call it that, in the custody of the Company that rebuilt her, working off the cost of her resurrection as a living test subject for new regenerative tech to the tune of one death for every life she took. When she has died once for every person she has killed, she'll finally face whatever judgment or peace lies in the grave. She took one hundred and fifty other souls as she hunted down the thirteen men responsible for her mother's murder. That's one hundred and sixty-three deaths that she owes the company, and she feels every one of them. Now she's come to the one place she never planned to see again, in the company of a man willing to put a bullet or six in her just to see how the tech works. Against all odds and against her will, Tashndelu of the High Sand has returned home. There will, once again, be blood.A Fistful of Stars is the first in a new Space Western series from A.G. Carpenter, author of Touch: A Trilogy.

Breaking Baghdad... Widower Shah Rafiq moves in with his daughter Nadia after being diagnosed with an industrial disease. Once he’s settled in, he sleeps in his grandson’s empty bed – who is presumed to be in Kashmir, helping out with the aftermath of the 2005 earthquake. But one morning, Shah intercepts a letter addressed to Nadia and her husband. Salaam Amee and Abujee, What a mission! Allah-thallah has rewarded me to come to this great land and I’m enjoying every moment of it. Now, I’ve found the right path and, I hope, with your blessing, that I will succeed in this critical mission. It’s from Wasim, who is not in Kashmir at all, but Iraq, where he is fighting US-led forces. Shah decides to abandon everything and fly out to Iraq and bring his grandson home. He leaves a note for his daughter and sells his car. He takes a flight from Manchester to Vienna and then on to Kurdistan. Once he gets into Iraq, he uses the cash from the house sale, his car and his personal savings to track down Wasim in Sadr City. After a series of scrapes, which include an exorcism ritual and a romantic entanglement involving his grandson, he eventually brings Wasim home to his parents. Back at home, Wasim regrets his actions and promises to change. He fights a campaign against industrial disease and tries to get compensation for his grandfather. Shah believes this is the right form of jihad. But police eventually raid Wasim’s house and he has to stand trial accused of terrorism overseas. If he is sentenced, it will be the catalyst of several devastating events for the Rafiq family...

Epic Negation written by C.D. Blanton and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-03-12 with Poetry categories.

The history of the epic-ranging from the heroic narratives of cultural origin found in Homer and Virgil to the tumultuous theological and political conflicts depicted by Dante or Milton-is nearly as old as literature itself. But the epic is also made and remade by its present, adapted to the pressures and formal necessities of its particular cultural moment. Examining modernist poetry's epic turn in the years between the two World Wars, C.D. Blanton's ambitious study charts the inversion of what Ezra Pound called "a poem including history" into a fractured and hollowed form, a "negated epic" that struggles not only to acknowledge the distant past but also to conceive its immediate present. Compelled to register the force of a larger historical totality it cannot directly represent, the negated epic reorients the function of poetic language, trading expression or signification for concrete but often buried reference, remaking the poem as an instrument of dialectical reason in the process. Epic Negation turns first to T. S. Eliot, productively pairing The Waste Land with The Criterion, the literary review it announced in 1922, to argue that Eliot's journal systematically realizes the editorial and critical method through which modernism's epochal poem sought to think its moment whole, developing a totalizing account of interwar culture. Dividing the epic's critical function from its style, The Criterion not only includes history differently, but also formulates an intricately dialectical account of the crisis facing bourgeois society, formed in the image of a Marxism it opposes. World War II's approach serves to organize the second half of Blanton's study, as he traces the dislocated formal effects of a serial epic gone underground. In the tense elegies and pastorals of W. H. Auden and Louis MacNeice, lyric forms cryptically divulge the determining force of unmentionable but universal events, dividing experience against consciousness, what can be said in a poem from what cannot. And, finally, with H.D.'s Trilogy-written under bombardment in a terse exchange with Freud's famous rewriting of biblical history in Moses and Monotheism--the poetic image itself lapses, consigning epic to the silent historical force of the unconscious. Uniquely conceived and deftly executed, Epic Negation transforms our understanding of modernist poetics and the concept of epic more broadly.

Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib was born in Agra in the closing years of the eighteenth century. He wrote in both Urdu and Persian and was also a great prose stylist. Ghalib fascinates his readers for many reasons, but one of the most noted qualities in Ghalib was that he was a careful, even strict, editor of his work. It is said that he discarded or disregarded more than half of his Urdu verses. These verses were forgotten for long, until as late as 1918, in the library of the princely state of Bhopal. In 1921, they were edited and published as a new Divan-e Ghalib. In Flowers in a Mirror, Mehr Afshan Farooqi continues her research in the strain of her first book, A Wilderness at My Doorstep. She examines Ghalib’s approach to his work, the world in which he lived and composed, and ultimately, his genius. She selects 30 ghazals from the rejected corpus, translates them into English and provides an erudite, sparkling critical commentary. Through this book, she highlights the significance of marginalized poetry and the need to reinstate the forgotten verses in our lives and hearts.

Proclaiming One unifying religion for all the people. The Book is, without a doubt, a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. The Final Testament comes with built-in physical evidence that it is God's message to you; it is mathematically composed beyond human capability. This proves that God is the Truth, and that He revives the dead, and that He is Omnipotent. Our Salvation in the hereafter lies on upholding The Quran. The Quran is God's Final Testament to the world. Unlike any other book, the Quran is taught by God (55:1-2); He teaches us what we need at the time we need it. This is why we read the Quran hundreds of times without getting bored. We can read a novel, for example, only once. But the Quran can be read an infinite number of times, and we derive new and valuable information from it every time. Since the Quran is God's message to all the people, regardless of their language, the Quran is accessible to the believers, regardless of their language (41:44). This explains a profound phenomenon: the believers who do not know Arabic know the Quran better than the Arabic speaking unbelievers. Because of the invisible forces serving the Quran, it is readily and enjoyably accessible to the sincere believers, and utterly inaccessible to the unbelievers (17:45, 18:57, 56:79).
