Durante esta viagem fantástica neste piquenique na Gruta, as situações vivenciadas pelo grupo que adentra o tronco de um Jequitibá permitem a interação existencial e lúdica entre os personagens que, no vai e vem entre a fantasia e realidade, passado, presente e futuro levam o leitor a reflexão sobre valores de vida, envolvendo-o de maneira romântica e poética. Para a composição deste livro inspirei-me num sentimento infinito de amor, bem como no imenso desejo de despertar e fortalecer a sensibilidade das crianças e adolescentes. Igualmente traz à tona nossa eterna juventude; aquela que está presente em cada ser humano sensível, capaz de sentir o roçar do vento; o brilho e o calor do sol; a realeza de uma noite de luar; a beleza das flores; o canto dos pássaros; a metamorfose e o voo das borboletas; a relva molhada; o fluxo das águas cristalinas, como fonte de energia da vida. Nesta aventura, os envolvidos pensam sobre seus valores de vida e têm a oportunidade de refletir e modificar suas práticas, o que pode ser considerado como um exemplo a ser seguido. A partir desta viagem torna-se possível revolucionar o interior de cada um, transformar o meio ambiente para salvar o nosso Planeta Terra-Água. Neste contexto, surge o despertar de uma nova consciência, com novos valores, que propicia ações construtivas com relação ao meio ambiente e à vida de todos, num verdadeiro exercício de cidadania.
