Na primeira, o rabino Dan Cohn-Sherbok traça a perspectiva histórica do conflito sob o ponto de vista judaico. Na segunda parte, o prof. Dawoud El-Alami, palestino, reconta essencialmente os mesmos acontecimentos que o rabino Sherbok, porém de um ponto de vista árabe, segundo o qual o povo que efetivamente habitava a Palestina desde mais de 2000 anos atrás teve as suas terras desapropriadas em grande extensão e passou a ser sistematicamente marginalizado por um invasor suportado por uma organização com ramificações internacionais na maioria dos países do primeiro mundo. Na terceira parte, eles criticam os textos um do outro, abandonando o tom imparcial de relato histórico das primeiras partes e deixam claras suas opiniões pessoais.
