Grace & Mercy: A Devotional Journey was created from a desire for a fresh look at discipleship within the modern, busy church. The book explores the progression of the seed planted in a sermon: how truth gets watered, germinates, sprouts, grows and eventually bears fruit. Grace & Mercy demonstrates how to have a nourishing and flourishing spiritual life. A soft plot line meanders throughout and the book gently explores themes of communication, discipleship, positive expectations, and diligence. Each chapter includes devotional content for individual readers and exploratory questions for group discussion. Readers can expect to: • Discover the value of slowing down, paying attention, and soaking in the wisdom of biblical truth expressed each week in the Sunday sermon • Understand how to live a more contemplative life • Grow in their faith from week to week • Improve awareness in the way God is moving through the people who are in their lives • Be stirred up toward love, gentleness, and goodness toward one another "Pictures and stories and memories are three of God's sweet gifts to help us visualize his truths and strengthen our hearts. Katie and Chris use all of these to paint little portraits that add color and depth to how I understand and experience God." --Kirk Freeman, Lead Pastor, CrossBridge Community Church, San Antonio, Texas "My wife, Beth, is often suggesting daily devotionals for me, but I just can't get into them. She was surprised to see me devouring Grace & Mercy and asked, 'What's different about this one?' I paused a moment, looked up and said, 'I can relate to these. Let's gather some friends and dig into it.' Grace & Mercy provides an interesting and engaging tool to study the Bible." --Jim Lenaway, Pastor, B-Free Church, Bradford, Pennsylvania "Grace & Mercy presents an honest, encouraging look at life with its disquieting issues. Katie welcomed me to sit beside her "knee to knee" with Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, then to journey onward, with Him leading the way. --Chuck Rizer, Lieutenant Colonel, Army Chaplain (retired), author of Downwind of Thunder "This devotional is wonderfully refreshing and special. I love the practical, chatty, relatable style that makes recognizing God's presence and love in our lives so accessible. If you want to benefit from experiencing God in your everyday life, Grace & Mercy is for you." --Rob Davis, Founding Pastor, Vineyard Church, Hopkinton Massachusetts From Loving Healing Press www.LHPress.com

Christianity is a journey; it is a journey most of us start when God finds us in our sinfulness and delivers us to our righteousness for his names sake (Psalm 23:3). It is a process that we have to be aware of, and we have to be aware of our responsibility at each stage in order to progress to the next stage of our journey. The scriptures tell us of the journey the children of Israel had from their place of slavery, Egypt, where God rescued them with his powerful arm and then journeyed with them in the wilderness to bring them to their Promised Land, Canaan, a land he had promised to their ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This journey that the Israelites had is quite similar to the journey that we Christians have; the only difference is that they did their journey physically and God was with them physically as well, while ours is a spiritual journey and he is in us as the Holy Spirit, guiding us. The canon has recorded their journeys story for us to learn from and do ours better (1 Corinthians 10:6). Ive noted through the scriptures that it was just through Gods mercy that they made it through to the Promised Land; even though most of them died in the wilderness, those who made it did so only because he was merciful to them. Ive realised that I have also survived thus far just by his grace. This is what this book is all abouthis mercy that has covered me thus far, the same mercy that carried the children of Israel on their journey from Egypt to Canaan.

The Sacred Journey is a collection of insights, thoughts, and personal experiences centered on and emanating from the Beatitudes of Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount. Within its pages we are invited to consider the radical love with which God pursues His creation. God in Jesus Christ was determined to make a way for sinners to be forgiven at the Cross. While man had sinned and caused a divide between himself and His creator, God has insisted that those who receive the grace and mercy offered in His Son shall be forgiven of sin and reconciled unto God in eternally secure love. God in salvation is singly focused on reconciling all who will place their trust, their faith, and their hope in that sacrifice. It is not we who make our way to God through good works, right belief, perfectly ordered creedal statements, or any other edifice of human composition. It is God who pursues us heatedly to receive the radical beauty of the violence of the Cross. God has pursued, forgiven, and reconciled us unto Himself. Through the wrath which was poured out upon Jesus, mercy was poured out on us. Salvation is purely the work of God's mercy and grace. We who have received Him have done so by faith when we have responded to the pull of God on our hearts. Grace rests upon us because God has loved us. What, in response to such a violent grace, should our reply to God be?

Hand of Mercy: A Story of God’s Grace is a cross-generational account of God’s mercy upon a family. When a car slams into 80-year-old Joseph “Joe” Nowicki causing him to die, twice, from the impact, a story unfolds that captivates the imagination. The two dreams which accompany his deaths are not about heaven . . . but hell. Joe lives to share his remarkable rescues from an eternity without God, with the Lord’s hand of mercy extended to this self-proclaimed atheist. Not only does this story reveal an eternal consequence, it also reveals multiple divine interventions in the areas of faith, healing, business, and the “coincidence” of timing. God’s mercy on this family, and others, gives hope that He is at work in the affairs of all, young and old, ever drawing us to Him, even if we are unaware. Joe experienced a simple truth: life is short and eternity is real, and where we spend it is a choice we make. Gene Andrews, Joe’s son, shares his family’s story so all may have a greater understanding of God’s hand upon our lives. He provides photographs that bless as they signify the heart of living. Readers also have the opportunity to participate in “A Deeper Reflection” sections, found at the end of each chapter. Thought-provoking questions accompany Scripture that is relevant to the story and take us on an adventure of self-awareness and evaluation.

This is a story of faith in God that started at a young age. It is a story of trials, tribulations, and triumph. It is a story of what happens when trauma and divorce meets. It gives inspiration to women that they can indeed regain their identity in Christ, and live the abundant life as God promised. It shows us that the journey of walking in God's grace and healing is not always what we would imagine.

Walking in Grandpa¿s Footsteps, is a book about ordinary events of life which contain the movement of the grace and mercy of God. The people and events described reflect a common ground that we all share with one another. Each vignette leads the reader into the world of the activity of God in scripture and in life. Where ever the two come together there the grace and mercy of God are applied. Therefore, to encounter God in the ordinary places of our life is to discover who we are and what God has called us to be. In this encounter with God, we discover our destiny and that God is constantly seeking to bring us from where we are to where we need to be. A hidden meaning of the book is that we do not journey alone, but that we are all connected in this adventure. We came from God and we will return to God. In our early stage of life, we followed someone. I have simply suggested that it might have been a close relative like grandpa. It reminds us that we have followed and some have followed us. As we journey through life, we leave behind our footprints.
