Il a été expert à la CNUCED, ainsi qu'aux Nations-Unies, notamment dans le cadre du PNUD (Programme des Nations-Unies pour le Développement). Il continue à codiriger une étude sur l'environnement et ses incidences socio-culturelles dans la Caraïbe à l'Université des Antilles-Guyane.
