A Legacy of Dreams contains the life and experiences of Dr. William Venoid Banks from his youth on a sharecropper's farm in the South to his building one of the largest and most solvent fraternal organizations in America, the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons. He also organized and founded two trade schools, one college, several small businesses, and established the first Black owned and operated radio and television stations in the United States, creating a legacy of opportunities for others in radio and television broadcasting. He discusses his development as he grew up in the racial prejudice of the south, lived on the streets of Chicago, his professional experience as an attorney during the Depression and the riots, dealing with the J. Edgar Hoover Commission, the FBI, and the Black Militia. He also depicts his meetings with President Nixon and the Shah of Iran, discussing, from an historical perspective, the plight of Blacks from 1903 to 1985 from all of his personal experiences.

Legacy of Dreams is the first book in Dan Vanderburg's Texas Legacy family saga and takes you to the raw frontier of Texas, following two courageous young men and the women they love as they build new lives, homes and dreams in their new country. In the spring of 1829 Will Bowman and Jeff Jefferson ride into a world of political unrest, hostile Indians and backbreaking work, but unlimited opportunity. This story explores the concept of freedom at two levels: Jeff's personal account of slavery and freedom and the story of the Texans and their struggle against the tightening noose of despotism in the Mexican government. It also examines the effects of war from the very personal point of view of Texas families who are drawn into the conflict. Will and Jeff must not only protect their homes and families from the Comanches, they must now join the war for freedom to save Texas from the advancing Mexican army. In such turbulent times, the bond of enduring friendship and loyalty between Will and Jeff and their families inspires a legacy that ties these families together for generations.

Imagine that murdered primatologist Dr. Dian Fossey of Gorillas in the Mist fame were alive today and able to reflect upon her death as well as her legacy. This is the impetus behind author Georgianne Nienaber's compelling work, Gorilla Dreams: The Legacy of Dian Fossey. At the beginning of Gorilla Dreams, Fossey attends her own funeral and watches her murdered gorillas interacting with the graveside bystanders. She establishes a new relationship with the slain gorilla Digit, who acts as her guide after death as she carefully reviews her life, its challenges, successes, hardships, and the ultimate closure of her murder. Although Fossey's death is officially unsolved, recently released documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, as well as testimony from the International War Crimes Tribunal proceedings, offer new suspects, motives, and opportunities. Every fact about Fossey's life is meticulously annotated. However, the setting of her conversations with the murdered gorillas is obviously fictional, yet steeped in African tradition. Gorilla Dreams: The Legacy of Dian Fossey is a biographical interpretation of the famed primatologist's life that honors the African belief that the dead live on in spiritual form.

Once again, renowned New York stage actor Brody Murphy must put aside his life and career, and step into a dream world to rescue Casey Wheeler. After seven years of sobriety, and a new life with his wife and son, Brody is faced with the prospect of returning to the nightmare world he once escaped. No one can help him find Casey and return the boy from the desolate landscape of the dream. While his friends and loved ones attempt to support him from afar, Brody grapples with sobriety, repressed memories, and a lifetime of fears and demons that threaten to sabotage Casey's rescue and the very fabric of Brody's sanity.
