RESUMO: Este artigo aborda quatro crônicas da poeta brasileira Cecília Meireles que tematizam a Ilha do Nanja, transfiguração, em prosa-poética, da ilha de São Miguel, nos Açores, terra de origem de sua família materna. Cecília Meireles visita a ilha de São Miguel durante breve estada de cinco dias em 1951. Nessas crônicas, a poeta retranscreve a viagem real, operando elementos intertextuais e de efabulação, a partir de recursos poéticos, como sonoridades e sinestesias, o que resulta em uma íntima prosa lírica inspirada em experiência de viagem. A Ilha do Nanja torna-se espaço, ao mesmo tempo, de regresso a vivências afeti- vas da infância e de evasão, o que é analisado comparativamente com o poema de Manuel Bandeira, Vou-me embora pra Pasárgada. RESUMEN: En este trabajo se abordan cuatro crónicas de la poeta brasileña Cecilia Meire- les que tematizan la Isla del Nanja, transfiguración, en prosa poética, de la isla de San Miguel, en las Azores, patria de la familia de su madre. Cecilia Meireles visita la isla de San Miguel durante una breve estancia de cinco días en 1951. En estas crónicas, la poeta transcribe el viaje real, operando elementos intertextuales y de imaginación, a partir de recursos poéticos, tales como sonidos y sinestesias, lo que se traduce en una prosa intimista lírica inspirada en la experiencia de este viaje. La Isla del Nanja es espacio, al mismo tiempo, de regreso a las experiencias emocionales de la infancia y de evasión, que se analiza comparativamente con el poema de Manuel Bandeira, Vou-me embora pra Pasárgada. ABSTRACT: This article addresses four chronicles of Brazilian poet Cecilia Meireles, which thematizes Nanja Island, a transfiguration in prose poetry of São Miguel Island, in Azores, homeland of her mother’s family. Cecilia Meireles briefly visits São Miguel Island in 1951, staying there for five days. In these chronicles, the poet transcribes the actual trip, operating intertextual and imaginative elements, from poetic devices such as sonority and synesthesia, which result in an intimate lyrical prose inspired by travel experience. Nanja Island becomes at the same time a place of regressing to childhood emotional experiences and a place of evasion, which is analyzed in comparison with the poem by Manuel Bandeira Vou-me embora para Pasárgada.
