"Malcolm is a man against the tide of the modern world for he foresees that these tides are soon to change direction. This book is to be one read by all as it touches with great detail precision, and wit upon every topic you could imagine. I feel completely enlightened by it and I am now ready to sur-thrive, a notion he creates and introduces brilliantly in this book." - Mora Mackenzie, the editor of Sustainability The 21st century is the most wondrous and destructive time in all of human history. Never has there been so much destruction and chaos, but also wonder and joy. With great change happening in such a short space of time, year by year, humanity has become more and more destitute, depressed, anxious, confused, isolated, and radical. Many people such as yourself are aware of this. I imagine often you question why is the world like this? Is there any hope? You know what I am talking about, don't you? The feeling we all have that something is wrong, that something is missing, that the puzzle is not complete. In desperation, in pain, you try to solve this puzzle but in the end, you are left feeling more afraid and confused. Don't worry, for I am here to help you. Let me put your mind at ease and explain all that you need to know to complete the puzzle. To finally feel at ease. This book is a call to adventure for all of those who are willing to improve their life and the lives of those around them. All this time we have been looking for revolutions that will change our lives but what we need are revelations. What this book does is reveal to you a whole new perspective on life based upon principles that are sustainable and will ultimately result in long-term happiness, fulfilment, and success. You may be wondering, what can you get out of this book? In brief... *An understanding of how the military-industrial-financial-political complex of the 21st century operates in a way that is easy to comprehend plus how to become free from it.*An understanding of the science of the role of agriculture in the destruction of our planet but also, the hidden effect it has on every human being's welfare and livelihood. *An insight to the lies and distortions we have been told about in history as well as the truth of various matters regarding Neanderthals, Ancient Sumer, the Dark Ages, and WW2. *An insight into how the globalised world of the 21st century came to be, where it is heading in the future, and what you can do to avoid its consequences. *An explanation behind the science of productivity and learning in order for you to really self-actualise and understand how to best spend your precious time. *An explanation to a brand-new perspective on life based upon nature and our ancient ancestors. This is otherwise known as the "sur-thrival model". It will blow your mind. *A description of what is likely to occur in the future based upon the finite nature of today's technology and the various socio-economic factors at play. *A description of the world from the perspectives of the rulers which allows you to uncover the true nature of democracy, equality, and your so-called freedom. *A look into various human technologies that have emerged throughout history, how these technologies have impacted our lives, and at what cost? *A look into the lost traditions and the truth of our ancestors that successfully survived for hundreds of thousands of years with an explanation of how this knowledge can benefit you. Sustainability is more than just a book or an idea, it is a way to live your life independent from a tyrannical global system that benefits close to none. Join me and many others as we embark on an adventure for truth, peace, and sustainability. Yours aye Malcolm Macnab

God And Goodness written by Mark Wynn and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002-11-01 with Religion categories.

First Published in 2004. God and Goodness takes the experience of value as a starting point for natural theology. Mark Wynn argues that theism offers our best understanding of the goodness of the world, especially its beauty and openness to the development of richer and more complex material forms. We also see that the world's goodness calls for a moral response: commitment to the goodness of the world represents a natural extension of the trust to which we aspire in our dealings with human beings. Wynn argues that the goodness of the world provides a glimpse into what we should mean by 'God'. Here, he seeks to recover the mediaeval sense that the goodness of the world offers an image of the goodness of God, not simply in relation to the world, but in itself. This book will be an invaluable read for those interested in natural theology and philosophy of religion.

Nature And Identity In Cross Cultural Perspective written by A. Buttimer and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-04-17 with Social Science categories.

Nature and Identity in Cross-Cultural Perspective presents 20 essays which explore diverse cultural interpretations of the earth's surface. Contrasted with each other and with the potentially cosmopolitan culture of science, these detailed studies of ways in which different cultures conceptualise nature appear in the context of global environmental change. Understanding across cultural lines has never been more important. This book shows how individual cultures see their own histories as offering protection for nature, while often viewing others as lacking such ethical restraints. Through such writing a discourse of understanding and common action becomes possible. The authors come from the places they discuss, and offer passionate as well as scholarly visions of nature within their cultural homes. Audience: This volume is of interest to academics and professionals working in the fields of cultural geography, environmental history, environmental studies, history of environmental ideas, environmental education, landscape and literature, nature and culture. It can be used for courses in the above-mentioned areas and seminars in comparative literature. It can also be used as a complimentary text to provide cultural context to literary readings, and for seminars on cultural aspects of the environment.

National parks are one of the most important and successful institutions in global environmentalism. Since their first designation in the United States in the 1860s and 1870s they have become a global phenomenon. The development of these ecological and political systems cannot be understood as a simple reaction to mounting environmental problems, nor can it be explained by the spread of environmental sensibilities. Shifting the focus from the usual emphasis on national parks in the United States, this volume adopts an historical and transnational perspective on the global geography of protected areas and its changes over time. It focuses especially on the actors, networks, mechanisms, arenas, and institutions responsible for the global spread of the national park and the associated utilization and mobilization of asymmetrical relationships of power and knowledge, contributing to scholarly discussions of globalization and the emergence of global environmental institutions and governance.

Perspective In Perspective written by Lawrence Wright and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-03-16 with Psychology categories.

Originally published in 1983, this book is about the way we see things – or think we do, which is by no means the same – and about the ways in which we have tried to reproduce that visual concept in diagrams, pictures, photographs, films and television. Whatever the medium, if any degree of realism is intended, some use of perspective is inevitable, and some understanding of it can aid the appreciation of the result. But here the technicalities of perspective geometry are treated as far as possible non-technically, by a common-sense approach. Students, would-be artists or architects, are warned in the Preface that they will travel second-class in the author’s train of thought (the ‘general reader’ coming first), but they may well find the journey worthwhile in that it provides a background to a subsequent, more detailed studies. Lawrence Wright shows that every form of perspective representation has some innate falsity, but that most such forms offer an adequate makeshift; that rules of geometry often need to be bent; that labour-saving dodges and shortcuts exist. As he says, perspective drawing, like politics, is an art of the possible. In reading this book, beginners may find it all simpler than they had supposed, though the established expert may in some interesting respects find just the opposite. The general reader may thereafter find himself seeing things – and representations of them – in a new light.
