CHAPTER XI WIDENING THE POWERS OF CONGRESS It has generally been regarded as one of the great virtues of the American Constitution that the powers which it granted to the President, to Congress, or to the courts were in most instances phrased in broad and general terms, and thus could be applied, without doing violence to their obvious meaning, to changing social conditions. The grant to Congress for example, of the power "to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian tribes," has proved sufficient, it has been pointed out, for the days of the stage-coach and the days of the railway, for those of the sailing vessel and those of the steamship. But for this adaptability to changing circumstances the Constitution would have been much more frequently amended than it has been, and the amendments would certainly have taken a wider range. Not even the American Constitution, however, is perfect. The lapse of time, the experience acquired in working the constitutional machinery, strained and inconsistent interpretations by the courts and by the executive, and the rise of new issues or the development of new social conditions which the framers of the Constitution could by no possibility have foreseen, have combined to reveal certain important defects or limitations in the Constitution which should now be remedied. Some of those defects and limitations which concern the Constitution itself have already been considered. Those which concern Congress, especially as that body would be under a responsible government, remain to be discussed. i. Corporations. That is what I have done. I completely started from scratch. I wrote it from an idealistic perspective that believed anything is possible. I have attempted to create a society that is as close to being perfect as possible. It's my attempt at perfection. So what is perfection? Harmony, equality, fairness, opportunity, liberty, prosperity, safety, love, happiness, passion, joy, euphoria, contentment. Some say that such an objective is impossible. I say, why not try? If we could start over, why not attempt to achieve our highest hopes and dreams?

Despite the fact that the Constitution is one of the most iconic documents in human history, it is not without flaws. This rewrite of the Constitution attempts to address those flaws and update the constitution for the modern times that we live in. Some of the flaws that needed to be address include additional inalienable rights that we should have such as the absolute right to our own assets and wealth, true philosophical freedom, including religious freedom, real and absolute separation of church and state, and the right to direct voting. Also, the concept of a republic is no longer applicable in our society and neither is the concept of states. Though it may seem cocky to some that anyone would dare attempt to rewrite such an awe inspiring and awesome document, it is long overdue. The rewrite of the Constitution is much like a revolutionary product that dramatically improved the lives of every human being on earth. Despite its revolutionary nature, with time and experience, many revolutionary products tend to become obsolete and in need of updating. also, new products tend to inspire other ancillary products, and with this rewrite I codify new ideas and concepts that are vital to modern day America. Regardless, my rewrite is not the first and in won't be the last.
