Este livro é o resultado de uma pesquisa de mestrado em psicanálise, cujo orientador foi o psicanalista Antonio Quinet. O estudo levou-me a reescrever a minha história escovando-a "a contra pelo", e, nessa perspectiva, escolhi o mito Édipo Rei, que faz parte de uma trilogia: Édipo em Colono e Antígona. E por que não escolher o Édipo em Colono já que trata do tema do desamparo de forma tão contundente? Esta história específica de Édipo Rei e não de Édipo em Colono, serviu-me de via régia para a verdade, não toda, sobre a criança que um dia eu fui. Articulei também com o momento atual que estamos percorrendo da Covid-19. A pandemia trouxe de volta a questão do desamparo e do mito de Édipo com toda a mortandade das grávidas de Tebas na peste e o Corona-vírus invadindo nossos lares, tal qual a peste, causando muitas mortes. A peste volta e reatualiza questões do inconsciente. Nenhum outro período recente se presta melhor para exemplificar a tese de Lacan de que a Ciência foraclui o sujeito do inconsciente e com isso dificulta o avanço nas pesquisas.

This book is recommended to psychoanalysts and therapists interested in the analytical technique, and particularly that work with patients who have deficits in their symbolization capacity. It presents studies of technical aspects of the analytical process with patients who are difficult to reach. Collusions named 'chronic enactments' show that the analytic dyad cannot dream and the analytical field is paralyzed without the analyst perceiving it. Chronic enactments are undone through unconscious acts or behaviours that threaten to destroy the analytical process: behaviours that are named 'acute enactments'. The thorough study of these enactments show that they take the dyad to an awareness of the discrimination between self and object and re-establish the capacity to dream. It is demonstrated that this occurs in an attenuated traumatic form, revealing in the analytical field the externalization of primitive non-dreamed traumas. Clinical, artistic, and mythical models are part of the discussion. The emphasis on clinical aspects allows readers to use different theories to consider the clinical facts. The clinical theories used by the author are mostly post-Kleinian and Bionian.

It attempts to establish a unitary model of the processes at work in different forms of narcissistic pathology, and to offer a model that is both an alternative to, and complementary to, Freud's model of what are usually considered to be neurotic problems. The aim is to extract a sequence of mental processes that could be seen as typical of narcissistic disturbances of the sense of identity, with their several forms and clinical variations.
