In this life, we must eat and drink to stay alive. We have in different areas of the world some more than others: snow, rain and wind, sunshine, and cool days for the harvest. These seasons all interact to bring forth food with the help of the farmers. So whatever season you go through, let it produce. We all know the adage When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Who doesnt love seventy-degree weather in the winter? But we need the cold to ward off germs. So know that every season has its ups and downs; just prepare for the ride with coats and snow boots, umbrellas and rain boots, shorts and a T-shirt, sunscreen, a sweater. So depending on where you live, gear up. We cant stop the seasons, but we can put on our gear. I love the season of rest as any crop has to sit still for a while, so be still and know that God is good. Ephesians 6:1018 tells us to put on the whole armor of God as Christians. We are combating spiritual forces versus seasonal forces. The armor is used interchangeably, but we need it on at all times so that we will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And as you can see, God has our back.

365 poems celebrating nature and the changing seasons. This is the perfect bedside companion for any nature or poetry fan, featuring famous odes from big-name poets alongside unsung poems from less-well-known writers. Each poem is chosen to chime with the natural world through the seasons. Spring is a time of hope, a season of new life with William Wordsworth's daffodils, John Clare's lambs and Christina Rossetti's birdsong. Summer shifts into a time of leisure with long idyllic holidays in the countryside. According to Henry James, the two most beautiful words in the English language were 'summer afternoon', a sentiment echoed by Edward Thomas and Emily Dickinson. John Keats, William Blake and W. H. Auden are the poets we associate with autumn and this is possibly the most poetic season. The natural world, and the human one, hold onto the last lingering memories of summer before they turn to face the oncoming hardships of winter. Amy Lowell and George Meredith perfectly frame this time of year with their silver-fringed leaves and crimson berries. Winter can be savoured in poetry, rather than endured; bleak grey days are transformed into a world of glittering frost and snow-blanketed landscapes. Even in the darkest days life continues and soon we can turn our attention to the rebirth of spring. A wonderful collection of poems that help mark the daily turn of the seasons and all the rituals marking the significant moments of the year, from Candlemas to Christmas.

"Seasons" is a brief synopsis through LIFE in my eyes. The chapters began with LIFE's circumstances and end in DEATH...We all have our own "Seasons" of LIFE but sometimes we don't quite see them in the sense of a "song" or through the eyes of another person walking through the same experiences. It is my hope that this book will touch people and comfort them in knowing that we all have our problems, situations and circumstances but that we are not alone; I hope that when people read a poem from my book they can relate to the circumstance and empathize with it. If reading my book helps one person get through "the storms of life on earth" then my book has succeeded in the vision I set for it!
