The poems of this book are filled with explicit and unsettling imagery, depicting with intensity everyday subjects filled with love, loss, and death. These compositions were written to express my melancholic feelings. I had not intended to write a book as such, yet these composures resonated with people, and thus the idea of A Poets Ache was birthed. I strive to take you as the reader away, if only momentarily, with my fantasies of love and adventure. But I also wish to make you understand a greater feeling of despair - as my journeys throughout life have intertwined with these compositions. In my struggles to find contemporary scriptures relating to myself, I composed these for not only I, the writer, but anyone who needs to connect to something a little more. These poems are from my heart. Attached are original writings and artworks that were within my journals. A short poem like a picture can paint a thousand words - all we must do is allow ourselves to become part of it. I personally find myself reading more poetry than novels or stories.

"When a poet digs himself into a hole, he doesn't climb out. He digs deeper, enjoys the scenery, and comes out the other side enlightened."- Criss Jami ... 'Love' is all about that. Even if the love is unrequited, or incomplete; instead of mourning, one can make a conversion of it. Even heartbreak can be a poem. It's all about the conversion of energy. Whether the glass is half full or half empty depends on the beholder. Life is all about making beautiful crafts out of waste. One can pierce own heart to fill ink into the pen and compose poetry. Poets are those who nourish heartbreak, slowly listen to the sound of its breaking, and transform those sounds into a poetic rhythm. So, what will you call her, a poet, a lover, or a person who is giving back poems in return for pain? ...and that's how "Before Considering It As Pain, It Has Become Poetry." It is a collection of 44 poems expressing different shades of love. These poems are full of allegory and symbolism. Sometimes the reader will get to know about mythological characters from Greek Mythology, and how they are making a connection with these verses of love, can also be observed.

Lyric Poetry written by Mutlu Blasing and has been published by Princeton University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-01-10 with Literary Criticism categories.

Lyric poetry has long been regarded as the intensely private, emotional expression of individuals, powerful precisely because it draws readers into personal worlds. But who, exactly, is the "I" in a lyric poem, and how is it created? In Lyric Poetry, Mutlu Blasing argues that the individual in a lyric is only a virtual entity and that lyric poetry takes its power from the public, emotional power of language itself. In the first major new theory of the lyric to be put forward in decades, Blasing proposes that lyric poetry is a public discourse deeply rooted in the mother tongue. She looks to poetic, linguistic, and psychoanalytic theory to help unravel the intricate historical processes that generate speaking subjects, and concludes that lyric forms convey both personal and communal emotional histories in language. Focusing on the work of such diverse twentieth-century American poets as T. S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, Wallace Stevens, and Anne Sexton, Blasing demonstrates the ways that the lyric "I" speaks, from first to last, as a creation of poetic language.

King Of Pain written by Christine Kanownik and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016 with American poetry categories.

Poetry. Christine Kanownik's debut book, KING OF PAIN, wrestles with heavy themes while maintaining a wry grace that carries us effortlessly into a kind of fatalistic enlightenment. Brave, lyrical, and wonderfully direct, KING OF PAIN is one of those books that leaves you feeling more real after reading it. Filled with crass human truths and deep emotional beauty, KING OF PAIN is a book of highly original work by one of the most exciting new poets of our generation. In her poem "The Flower is a Jerk" she meditates with Wordsworthian bravado on flowers; then writes "but this isn't about flowers / it is about our perverse relationship / with the one flower." In the long, luscious poem, "I Don't Know," the speaker tells us, wisely, "it is because of love we get this way / In this new era of unbelievable pain." Christine Kanownik's poems see the world- weary humanity in all things. She sees beauty in pain. And pain in beauty. And of those, she is king. "KING OF PAIN is like Game of Thrones meets Ariel. It's like if the Earth elected a king and then Christine staged a revolution to usurp the throne. If she did, you wouldn't resent the act, but you would respect the power she wields: a bright force made of attention and sudden acts of kindness. Here is a real poet. Here is a life: "anyway / living / this long / it is a project." Paul Legault"
