One of the most satisfactory aspects of my Brooklyn pastorate has been the work of Dr. Janes in connection with an adult class on Sundays, and the evening class to which he refers in his introduction. In both of these connections, he has shown a remarkable faculty for laborious study and intelligent and persuasive exposition. The chapters herewith presented were originally prepared for lectures to the evening class.
