Monotone Nonautonomous Dynamical Systems written by David N. Cheban and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-07-15 with Mathematics categories.
The monograph present ideas and methods, developed by the author, to solve the problem of existence of Bohr/Levitan almost periodic (respectively, almost recurrent in the sense of Bebutov, almost authomorphic, Poisson stable) solutions and global attractors of monotone nonautonomous differential/difference equations. Namely, the text provides answers to the following problems: 1. Problem of existence of at least one Bohr/Levitan almost periodic solution for cooperative almost periodic differential/difference equations; 2. Problem of existence of at least one Bohr/Levitan almost periodic solution for uniformly stable and dissipative monotone differential equations (I. U. Bronshtein’s conjecture, 1975); 3. Problem of description of the structure of the global attractor for monotone nonautonomous dynamical systems; 4. The structure of the invariant/minimal sets and global attractors for one-dimensional monotone nonautonomous dynamical systems; 5. Asymptotic behavior of monotone nonautonomous dynamical systems with a first integral (Poisson stable motions, convergence, asymptotically Poisson stable motions and structure of the Levinson center (compact global attractor) of dissipative systems); 6. Existence and convergence to Poisson stable motions of monotone sub-linear nonautonomous dynamical systems. This book will be interesting to the mathematical community working in the field of nonautonomous dynamical systems and their applications (population dynamics, oscillation theory, ecology, epidemiology, economics, biochemistry etc). The book should be accessible to graduate and PhD students who took courses in real analysis (including the elements of functional analysis, general topology) and with general background in dynamical systems and qualitative theory of differential/difference equations.

Positive Systems written by Filippo Cacace and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-04-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book presents high-quality original contributions on positive systems, including topics such as: monotone dynamical systems in mathematical biology and game theory; mathematical developments for networked systems in biology, chemistry and the social sciences; linear and nonlinear positive operators; dynamical analysis, observation and control of positive distributed parameter systems; stochastic realization theory; biological systems with positive variables and positive controls; iterated function systems; nonnegative dynamic processes; and dimensioning problems for collaborative systems. The book comprises a selection of the best papers presented at the POSTA 2016, the 5th International Symposium on Positive Systems, which was held in Rome, Italy, in September 2016. This conference series represents a targeted response to the growing need for research that reports on and critically discusses a wide range of topics concerning the theory and applications of positive systems.

Positive Systems Theory And Applications written by Luca Benvenuti and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-07-25 with Technology & Engineering categories.
The proceedings of the First Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Positive Systems Theory and Applications (POSTA 2003) held in Rome, Italy, August 28-30, 2003. Positive Systems are systems in which the relevant variables assume nonnegative values. These systems are quite common in applications where variables represent positive quantities such as populations, goods, money, time, data packets flowing in a network, densities of chemical species, probabilities, etc. The aim of the symposium was to join together researchers working in the different areas related to positive systems such as telecommunications, economy, biomedicine, chemistry and physics in order to provide a multidisciplinary forum where they have the opportunity to exchange ideas and compare results in a unifying framework.

An Introduction To Mathematical Modeling Of Infectious Diseases written by Michael Y. Li and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-01-30 with Mathematics categories.
This text provides essential modeling skills and methodology for the study of infectious diseases through a one-semester modeling course or directed individual studies. The book includes mathematical descriptions of epidemiological concepts, and uses classic epidemic models to introduce different mathematical methods in model analysis. Matlab codes are also included for numerical implementations. It is primarily written for upper undergraduate and beginning graduate students in mathematical sciences who have an interest in mathematical modeling of infectious diseases. Although written in a rigorous mathematical manner, the style is not unfriendly to non-mathematicians.

Nonlinear Dynamics And Evolution Equations written by Hermann Brunner and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006 with Mathematics categories.
The papers in this volume reflect a broad spectrum of current research activities on the theory and applications of nonlinear dynamics and evolution equations. They are based on lectures given during the International Conference on Nonlinear Dynamics and Evolution Equations at Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, NL, Canada, July 6-10, 2004. This volume contains thirteen invited and refereed papers. Nine of these are survey papers, introducing the reader to, anddescribing the current state of the art in major areas of dynamical systems, ordinary, functional and partial differential equations, and applications of such equations in the mathematical modelling of various biological and physical phenomena. These papers are complemented by four research papers thatexamine particular problems in the theory and applications of dynamical systems. Information for our distributors: Titles in this series are copublished with the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).

Optimal Control Stabilization And Nonsmooth Analysis written by Marcio S. de Queiroz and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-04-20 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This edited book contains selected papers presented at the Louisiana Conference on Mathematical Control Theory (MCT'03), which brought together over 35 prominent world experts in mathematical control theory and its applications. The book forms a well-integrated exploration of those areas of mathematical control theory in which nonsmooth analysis is having a major impact. These include necessary and sufficient conditions in optimal control, Lyapunov characterizations of stability, input-to-state stability, the construction of feedback mechanisms, viscosity solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi equations, invariance, approximation theory, impulsive systems, computational issues for nonlinear systems, and other topics of interest to mathematicians and control engineers. The book has a strong interdisciplinary component and was designed to facilitate the interaction between leading mathematical experts in nonsmooth analysis and engineers who are increasingly using nonsmooth analytic tools.
