A Tea Party With The King is an inspirational story for all ages. Though written primarily for young ladies, the characters grapple with contemporary issues everyone faces from time to time. As you accompany Victoria on her journey, you will recognize that each of us has greater value and influence than we might imagine. And within these pages you may discover, not only the fanciful story of a young lady and her friends, but perhaps a season in which to reflect on long-held emotions you also may no longer need. It is my hope Victoria's story will provide you an opportunity to laugh, cry, and meditate; and that she and her friends will become your comrades as they share their life lessons with you. A native of rural Mississippi, Dr. Elizabeth Foy has taught the Word of God for forty-three years. She holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a Doctorate of Divinity from Evangel Christian University. For many years, she enjoyed the unique honor of serving as the only female chaplain to motorcycle clubs in the southeastern U.S., logging thousands of miles ministering the Gospel to the biker community. She helped found Kairos Outside of Louisiana (a ministry to the families of those incarcerated); and with her husband, Ray, conducts worship services in several prison facilities. Ordained with AEGA International, the Foys founded Highways & Hedges Ministries in 1996. Popular speakers at conferences, retreats, and seminars, their primary focus is women's ministries. Currently their major emphasis is hosting "The King's Tea" - a one to three day event focusing on an intimate worship experience with the Kin

Excerpt from When Boston Braved the King: A Story of Tea-Party Times The story of the Boston Tea-Party has been told many times, but still it offers to the story-teller a tempting theme. One thing which deserves to be brought more prominently to the front is the large share which the young people, the apprentices, the boys in the Latin School, and the Daughters of Liberty had in the making of public sentiment and the carrying out of daring projects in those momentous days. This story is intended to be accurate in its representation of historic characters and events; to give a true picture of life and thought in Boston before the Revolution, and to bring to the front the young people of the time together with their interesting seniors. How The Tea Party Captured The Gop written by Rachel M. Blum and has been published by University of Chicago Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-09-30 with Political Science categories.

This incisive and timely study of American party politics reveals how a fringe group within the Republican party came to wield outsized power. The rise of the Tea Party redefined both the Republican Party and how we think about intraparty conflict. What initially appeared to be an anti-Obama protest movement of fiscal conservatives matured into a faction that sought to increase its influence in the Republican Party by any means necessary. Tea Partiers captured the party’s organizational machinery and used it to replace established politicians with Tea Party–style Republicans, eventually laying the groundwork for the nomination and election of a candidate like Donald Trump. In How the Tea Party Captured the GOP, Rachel Marie Blum offers a novel theory of political party factions, framing them as miniature parties within parties. Using this framework, she demonstrates how fringe groups can leverage factions to increase their political influence in the American two-party system. In this richly researched book, Blum uncovers how the electoral losses of 2008 sparked disgruntled Republicans to form the Tea Party faction, and the strategies the Tea Party used to wage a systematic takeover of the Republican Party. This book not only illuminates how the Tea Party achieved its influence, but also provides a blueprint for identifying other factional insurgencies.
