Worshipping the One True God Human nature has changed very little over the centuries. Overtime men have forsaken God's ways and created their own ways to worship God. Instead of creating idols made by hands they create idols with their imaginations. Jesus Christ, in his time, was at constant loggerheads with the religious leaders of his time. Most of them thought that they had all the right answers. Most of them believed that they did not need Jesus' ministry. He became a stumble stone and a rock of offense to them. Man's way is never God's way. God has desired a family who will listen to him, believe him and do his will. Each member of God's family is important and has a special purpose in the body of Christ. Each member is endued with power from on high and can perform signs, miracles and wonders. While attending the University of Rhode Island in the middle 1970's the author encountered a group of Christian students the introduced him to God's Word. He took several biblical classes with this group. Over the following thirty-two years he has taken several more from various groups. He has run bible fellowships in his home over the years. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New York at Albany. He currently is a middle school teacher in Rhode Island. He and his wife, Diana, have nine-year old triplets and they run a family fellowship in their home. The author continues to study and is working on his second book, "As for Me and My House, We Will Serve The Lord."

This manuscript is birthed out of my personal Bible study and inquiry into the identity and characteristics of God, specifically what I sometimes call the plurality and the oneness nature of God. For he is indubitably both. This book attempts to objectively examine the primary doctrines that have plagued and fragmented Christianity, and especially the man-made dogma and tenets which divide Pentecostal Christianity. The emphasis throughout is explicitly upon God's desire for the unity of the Spirit and upon his own indivisible character and essence. A distinct significance is placed upon the high priestly prayer of the LORD Jesus Christ for all of Christianity: that we not only be made One with him in the Father (by the Holy Spirit) but that we be made progressively "perfect in One" (re. John 17:21-23). It is my hope that this work awakens an awareness in all of God's people of his grief and displeasure at our divisive posture and alienating attitudes toward those who believe differently than we do. Categorically, I address the doctrines of the oneness and trinity of God and the differences we have concerning water baptism that have so sorrowfully and shamefully separated us. My hope and my prayer for this book is that it be a unifying catalyst in the heart of the individual believer to draw us closer as the body of Christ, his Church, one Christian at a time. My aspiration in Christ is to accentuate the gravity and the urgency that the LORD Jesus Christ does not find us in such a state of glaring (and disgraceful) disunity at his coming. Someone has to say it, and this book, without apology, does just that.

The Bible repeatedly speaks of God the Father. You will not find the phrase God the Son or God the Spirit in the Scriptures. The Bible consistently speaks of the Son of God and Spirit of God but never speaks of the Father of God. In The God OF Jesus, it will be demonstrated that the reason the Bible never speaks of God the Son, God the Spirit, or the Father of God, is because the Father, and only the Father, IS God. It will be clearly shown who Jesus is and what the Spirit is in relation to who God is.
