L’architettura, non necessariamente quella fatta dagli addetti ai lavori, più spesso e volentieri quella spontanea creata dalle mani dell’uomo comune, ha contribuito per millenni a perseguire questo obiettivo. Le nuove tecnologie e l’evoluzione nei materiali da costruzione hanno permesso di raggiungere traguardi nuovi e tecnicamente più audaci ma, a causa della speculazione edilizia, del potere dei “signori del petrolio” e degli interessi di pochi, sono diventate altre le finalità da raggiungere. Non è poi facile mantenere il giusto equilibrio comportamentale per condurre saggiamente il percorso della propria vita in una società che è riuscita a rendere indispensabile perfino il superfluo... Gli AutoriStefano Russo L’architetto Stefano Russo si è interessato ai problemi concernenti la salvaguardia dell’Ambiente, il risparmio energetico e le costruzioni sostenibili sin dalla fine degli anni ‘80, quando ancora in Italia la tematica era pressoché sconosciuta. Viaggi di studi e di formazione all’estero hanno contribuito alla preparazione in tal senso e all’acquisizione dell’esperienza necessaria per poter operare e specializzarsi soprattutto nell’abitazione privata concepita in modo ecologico e sostenibile. Rivolge particolare interesse agli studi dei siti archeologici dei Paesi orientali e alla storia, all’arte e all’architettura islamica.
