The history of the Semitic Religion tells us people belonging to world's three great monotheistic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam have inherited their faith from Abraham. Their holy scriptures-both Bible and Quran also mentioned Abraham as the father of many nations. He was also called the friend of God because he overcame many difficult trials as it is believed by the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims equally, is to sacrifice his only son of his old age by the command of God. They also believe equally God commanded Abraham to stop when he was ready with a knife to kill his tied-up son inside a thick bush. They also believe equally he was provided with a ram and commanded to sacrifice it in place of his son. But one thing they have differed completely is about the intended son of his sacrifice. Both the Jews and the Christian claim the intended son of Abraham's sacrifice is Isaac- his younger son through his wife Sarah while the Muslims claim he is Ishmael-his firstborn through his second wife Hagar- Sarah's Egyptian handmaid. This book describes in detail how or why this difference or discrepancy in their claim occurred based on the statements of the Bible, the Quran and the narration of the Judeo-Christian and Islamic Tradition.

This work is based on the religion of Islam and the fundamental Muslims who live by Islamic Sharia law and associate themselves with Sunni Islam, or the Shia philosophy of the 6th imam. Islam's Mandate separates 80 % of the Muslim ummah (family) who live in Third World countries who cannot read or write from the radical world of Islam, as well as others who continue to associate themselves with the Muslim family, but have strayed from the teachings of Muhammad and are less than Islam's Muslim in their way of life. In the book, the author deals with 1500 year old beliefs of the fundamentalist, Islams true Muslim. The questions asked and answered are, what is the true nature of Islam, and who are the real Islam Muslims in the mosques who stay hidden behind closed doors. Those who must defend against radical Islam must take them time to understand the Jihadist. It is time America pulls its head out of Muslim sand that is soaked with blood from 1500 years of Islamic aggression, and deals with the reality of what was once an oppressed tribal cult in the Arabian Desert, but is now a dominating, brutal, and repressive theocracy spreading to every corner of this planet.

Seminar paper from the year 2015 in the subject Orientalism / Sinology - Islamic Studies, grade: 1,0, San Diego State University (Institute for Religious Studies), course: The Qur'an, language: English, abstract: Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in the same God and all of them refer to one founding father. Abraham or Ibrahim, it depends from which perspective we are talking, is considered to be the progenitor of the three so-called Abrahamic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam. For these great faiths, Abraham was the first human being who worshiped only one God. Jews call this God Yahwe or Elohim, Muslims call him Allah and in Christianity it is God the Father. It is true that these religions differ in their rules and duties but they do have some fundamental commonalities. All three religions are of monotheistic nature and they refer to Abraham as common founding father. Hence, it is not surprising that his figure and story can be found in their Sacred Books. As Prophet Abraham is an identification figure for all three religions, it might be interesting to discuss his role and to explore differences and commonalities of his person and his life in the different books. However, it would be beyond the scope of the following paper to allow a comparison between Prophet Abraham’s role in the Tora, in the Qur’an and his role in the Bible. Therefore, this paper is only going to focus on Abraham in the Qur’an, which represents the Islamic point of view and the Bible, which stands for the Christian perspective.

Christians Under Siege, is a comprehensive study of the war on Christian values that started in the Arabian Desert, and which now reaches into America’s schools and workplace. Barrack Hussein Obama declared that the United States is not a Christian Nation. Historian Patrick Roelle disagrees. To deal with Islam’s terrorist we must understand Islam’s Terrorist. Islam rose out of the Arabia Desert because the strong oppressed the weak. The world of Islam is not just a religion, it’s a form of government. We are at a crossroads. Some wish to cancel God from the equation, enslave us to a future of debt we cannot repay, place our energy dependence on the Muslim world while we lock our resources in the ground, and transfer our wealth in exchange for government subsidies that will keep us subdued, and we are falling for it. Joseph Goebbels, propaganda expert and Reich Minister of Public Enlightenment and Education, for Nazi Germany once said: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” The American Muslim community has successfully employed these methods these past fifty years to indoctrinate our elected officials and the mainstream press in this country. Christians Under Siege paints the true picture.

What was the name of Noah's son who did not survive the Flood? Why do Pharaoh and Haman build the Tower of Babel? For what reasons does Moses travel to the ends of the Earth? Who is the 'Horned-One' who holds back Gog and Magog until the Day of Judgement? These are some of the questions answered in the oral sources and Quran commentaries on the stories of the prophets as they are understood by Muslims. Designed as an introduction to the Quran with particular emphasis on parallels with Biblical tradition, this book provides a concise but detailed overview of Muslim prophets from Adam to Muhammad. Each of the chapters is organized around a particular prophet, including an English translation of the relevant verses of the Quran and a wide selection of classical, medieval and modern Muslim commentaries on those verses. Quran commentaries include references to Sunni and Shi'i sources from Spain, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. An extensive glossary provides an annotated list of all scholarly transmitters and cited texts with suggestions for further reading. This is an excellent book for undergraduate courses, and students in divinity and seminary programmes. Comparisons between the Quran and Bible, and among Jewish, Christian and Islamic exegesis are highlighted. Oral sources, references adapted from apocryphal and pseudepigraphical works, and inter-religious dialogue are all evident throughout these stories of the prophets. This material shows how the Quran and its interpretation are integral to a fuller and more discerning understanding of the Bible and its place in the history of Western religion.

Journeys In Holy Lands written by Reuven Firestone and has been published by SUNY Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1990-01-01 with Religion categories.

Scholars have long pointed to the great affinity between stories found in the Bible and the Qur'an, yet no explanation has been proposed that satisfactorily explains the odd combination of incredible likeness and unique divergence. Firestone provides a refreshing, new approach to scriptural issues of textuality, exegesis, and the origins and use of legend. This book clearly presents the full range of Islamic legends from the Qur'an and early Islamic exegesis about Abraham's journeys and adventures in the Land of Canaan and Arabia, many of them available for the first time in English translation. The author examines this broad sample of Islamic legends in relation to those found in Jewish, Christian, and pre-Islamic Arabian communities, and postulates an evolutionary journey of the literature. He presents a thorough textual analysis of the material and proposes a model for understanding early Islamic narrative based in literary theory, approaches to comparative religion, and the history of the pre-Islamic and early Islamic Middle East.

Routledge Revivals The Challenge Of Islam 2005 written by Douglas Pratt and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-10-04 with Religion categories.

First published in 2005, this book addresses the challenges arising from Christian-Muslim encounter and attempts to enable outsiders to understand the religion of Islam. The author offers distinctive perspectives that compliment much other literature in the study of Islam and in particular Christian-Muslim relations and the relation of Islam and the west. The book is divided into three parts: Part I constitutes an introduction to Islam, Part II delves into aspects of the wider encounter with Islam and Part III explores issues in regard to the prospect of engaging in dialogue with Islam. The author argues that in the post-9/11 world the imperative to understand and engage with Islam is urgent and intends this work to assist the reader in doing so.
