It is a strong English word with definitive meaning; It is a word that expresses sharp complete and total completion. In this word God began to bring so much peace to me; It is human nature to think back and wish one did this differently or didn't go down that road; Maybe could erase a mistake or two and do a few things better. There is nothing wrong with thinking about your past; remembering the great accomplishments, reflecting on how you learned from this action or that encounter. It is really important though, not to fall into a trap of regret. The dean of students at a Bible college I attended was giving a lecture and asked the classroom this question: "How many of you would like to erase your mistakes?", the whole classroom raises their hands. "If you learn from your mistakes, it erase the mistake and turns it into a life lesson" - Pastor Todd Holmes. Regret can lead you down a road to depression that swallows someone from moving forward in a self inflicted force to undermine accomplishing great things for the kingdom of God.
