The author beautifully shares her journey and guides you through a series of steps that lead you out of any dark areas in your life. Each step builds upon the last, with a biblical practice at the end of each chapter to help you apply the principles to your life for your total healing. You are tenderly encouraged to allow the fullness of God’s Holy Spirit into your life as you learn obedience to God’s ways. After achieving liberty from each shackle, you are guided toward finding your gifts and bearing fruit for the Kingdom, which will keep you healthy while enriching and refreshing you from the inside out.

The author writes a beautiful book about his life, starting with the peace and stability he enjoyed as a child and how that all fell apart when his father died. Going through one transition after another marked him permanently, which he shares in almost poetic prose. Reading the scenes feels like watching a movie, one about a man who comes to know God as his true father. Readers will also come to know and love the Great Provider as a result of reading this magnificent story. Hungry and homeless in a foreign country, Antoine Desire Ongolo experiences a long journey through the desert during which his faith is put to the test. Exhausted, he decides to turn to God in a letter that will prove lifesaving. A Letter to God is the story of an extraordinary faith that led a man out of abject misery when nothing in his situation suggested a better future. In West Africa, in the throes of suffering and doubt, the author, who now lives in the United States, wrote a letter to God, an act of unprecedented faith that changed the course of his life. This true story will renew your hope, whatever challenge you have to face. Fatherless at the age of ten, Antoine Desire Ongolo had to face life and its hardships early on in his native Cameroon. From this early suffering emerged a strength of character that enabled him to experience, with the help of God, despite everything, a definite upward social mobility: he holds a bachelor s degree in communication and a master's in business administration. On a professional level, he has had a distinguished career as a journalist in radio and television. Now gifted with an entrepreneurial vision, Antoine Desire Ongolo is currently working on several audiovisual projects.

In Rajasthan, India, a caste of musicians and mendicants, the Nath-Jogis, sing stories of kings who renounce their thrones to become wandering mendicants. They also sing of a god, Mahadeva, Shiva, who must abandon his world-renouncing life and marry, thus establishing the very caste that tells his story. This is the first detailed ethnomusicological study of the music of this caste, examining how the existential questions of the sung stories--of the conflict between loyalty to families or communities and the transcending desire to renounce the material world--are articulated in musical performances in which the caste's own ethnography is inscribed. Discussing the relationship between the performed repertoire and the caste's identity, the contexts of performance and ways in which familiar stories are effectively retold, the book offers a transcription, translation and musical and ethnographic analysis of one performance, by Kishori Nath, and shows how the questions the performances project are not merely speculative acts of self-identification but also challenges to audiences to consider their own responses.

A mix of thematic essays, reference entries, and primary source documents covering the role of religion in American history and life from the colonial era to the present. Often controversial, religion has been an important force in shaping American culture. Religious convictions strongly influenced colonial and state governments as well as the United States as a new republic. Religious teachings, values, and practices deeply affected political structures and policies, economic ideology and practice, educational institutions and instruction, social norms and customs, marriage, and family life. By analyzing religion's interaction with American culture and prominent religious leaders and ideologies, this reference helps readers to better understand many fascinating, often controversial, religious leaders, ideas, events, and topics. The work is organized in three volumes devoted to particular periods. Volume one includes a chronology highlighting key events related to religion in American history and an introduction that overviews religion in America during the period covered by the volume, and roughly 10 essays that explore significant themes. These essays are followed by approximately 120 alphabetically arranged reference entries providing objective, fundamental information about topics related to religion in America. Each volume presents nearly 50 primary source documents, each introduced by a contextualizing headnote. A selected, general bibliography closes volume three.

Which sort of seducer could you be? Siren? Rake? Cold Coquette? Star? Comedian? Charismatic? Or Saint? This book will show you which. Charm, persuasion, the ability to create illusions: these are some of the many dazzling gifts of the Seducer, the compelling figure who is able to manipulate, mislead and give pleasure all at once. When raised to the level of art, seduction, an indirect and subtle form of power, has toppled empires, won elections and enslaved great minds. In this beautiful, sensually designed book, Greene unearths the two sides of seduction: the characters and the process. Discover who you, or your pursuer, most resembles. Learn, too, the pitfalls of the anti-Seducer. Immerse yourself in the twenty-four manoeuvres and strategies of the seductive process, the ritual by which a seducer gains mastery over their target. Understand how to 'Choose the Right Victim', 'Appear to Be an Object of Desire' and 'Confuse Desire and Reality'. In addition, Greene provides instruction on how to identify victims by type. Each fascinating character and each cunning tactic demonstrates a fundamental truth about who we are, and the targets we've become - or hope to win over. The Art of Seduction is an indispensable primer on the essence of one of history's greatest weapons and the ultimate power trip. From the internationally bestselling author of The 48 Laws of Power, Mastery, and The 33 Strategies Of War.
