Discussing the standards of legal treatment for international investment, means subjecting the law branch in its entirety to research. Representing the most comprehensive part, of particular importance for international investment law, treatment standards continue to generate a series of differentiations whose understanding and approach often require the analysis of the starting points that led to the emergence, by division, of this branch of law. International investment treatment standards represent or should represent the direct effect of the principles of international investment law, thus being their expression, with a pronounced logical affinity between them. Specifically, they are not confused with the principles, but they are the practical reflection at the level of rights and obligations, applicable to the performers in this field, in the highlight of the theoretical-practical aspect, having a customary origin, as well as the principles underlying their development. Following this logic and analyzing the situation of the latest investment treaties, it turns out that there is an insufficiency in the preponderance of treatment standards, compared to the principles, much more numerous and constantly expanding, of this field of law. The specificity of this branch of law consists in the emphasis on its fundamental concepts, essentializing what determines the whole, being considered as a science of essentialization and, ultimately, the role of any method of scientific research is to analyze, discover and highlight what this branch of law represents, as a whole, what determines it, the connections of this ensemble with other sciences, the composition and structuring of the system and the substantiation of the connections between its components. The standards of legal treatment of international investments settled with the individualization of international investment law. Their appearance took place gradually, depending on the path marked by the stages of emergence and evolution of the legal regime of foreign investment, from the legal phenomenon to the branch of law, from trade in general to foreign investment in particular. In all of this, legal scientific research plays a key role because any codification activity must be scientifically substantiated. Any codification policy must ensure a balance between the diachrony and the synchrony of international investment law (between the dynamics and the statics of this law). A complete analysis of the treatment standards of international investments can be performed only by a close correlation because the singular existence of a standard specific to this field is excluded from the start. The importance of establishing and existence of eloquent and integrated treatment standards is a condition for survival under international economic crises. The main feature of this monograph is to present the subject in a way that is as easy to understand as possible to study and apply such rules, being a very useful and valuable material for students, masters, doctoral students, theoreticians and practitioners.

Impacts Of Leakage Whistleblowing And The Rise Of Propaganda written by Lyle, Perry L. and has been published by IGI Global this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-04-11 with Political Science categories.

The rise of whistleblowing, the consequences of information leakage, and the increase of propaganda reshape the dynamics of trust, transparency, and power in contemporary society. In an age where digital platforms encourage the rapid spread of information, the leaking of sensitive data has spurned debates over privacy, accountability, and national security. Whistleblowers now play pivotal roles in exposing corruption, malpractice, and misconduct, though they often face personal and professional risks. The increasing weaponization of information through propaganda has made it more difficult to discern truth from manipulation, fueling political polarization and undermining public discourse. Together, these aspects highlight the complexity between transparency, secrecy, and the ethical responsibilities of those in positions of power, raising urgent questions about the future of free speech, media integrity, and the trustworthiness of information in a digital age. Impacts of Leakage, Whistleblowing, and the Rise of Propaganda explores the effects of misinformation, disinformation, and political propaganda on public discourse. It examines the impact of data leaks, whistleblowers, and information spread on social media and online platforms within various sectors. This book covers topics such as elections, social media, and nationalism, and is a useful resource for government officials, policymakers, media professionals, academicians, researchers, and data scientists.

Global Administrative Law And Eu Administrative Law written by Edoardo Chiti and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-07-03 with Law categories.

This book seeks to enrich and refine global administrative law and EU administrative law analytical tools by examining their manifold relations. Its aim is to begin to explore the complex reality of the interactions between EU administrative law and global administrative law, to provide a preliminary map of such legal and institutional reality, and to review it. The book is the first attempt to analyze a dense area of new legal issues. The first part of the book contains core elements of a general theory of the relationships between global and EU administrative law: comparative inquiries, exchanges of legal principles, and developing linkages. The second part is devoted to special regulatory regimes, in which global and European law coexist, though not always peacefully. Several sectors are considered: cultural heritage, medicines, climate change, antitrust, accounting and auditing, banking supervision, and public procurement.

Non Artistic Kitsch written by Michał Szostak and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-12-29 with Philosophy categories.

The book aims to provide a contemporary individual with an extensive but focused set of examples of kitsch in non-artistic spheres to create theoretical and practical backgrounds for conscious recognition of kitsch in fields like psychology, education, politics, law, religion, terrorism, television, or journalism. Two perspectives are underlined: 1) the consciousness of the presence and role of kitsch experience within the philosophy of living and 2) the management of kitsch experience within the philosophy of living (kitsch as a means for achieving goals). Due to the diverse topics covered by particular chapters, no unified methodology is applied in the whole volume. However, due to the kitsch’s complex and metaphysical character, the only fundament is using the “kitsch experience theory” (Szostak and Sułkowski, 2020) to narrate the volume coherently. The authors apply a qualitative methodological approach, extensively using case studies, comparative analyses, and ethnographic focus.

Sanctions Accountability And Governance In A Globalised World written by Jeremy Farrall and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-11-05 with Law categories.

This book is the first in a series examining how public law and international law intersect in five thematic areas of global significance: sanctions, global health, environment, movement of people and security. Until recently, international and public law have mainly overlapped in discussions on how international law is implemented domestically. This series explores the complex interactions that occur when legal regimes intersect, merge or collide. Sanctions, Accountability and Governance in a Globalised World discusses legal principles which cross the international law/domestic public law divide. What tensions emerge from efforts to apply and enforce law across diverse jurisdictions? Can we ultimately only fill in or fall between the cracks or is there some greater potential for law in the engagement? This book provides insights into international, constitutional and administrative law, indicating the way these intersect, creating a valuable resource for students, academics and practitioners in the field.
