Advances In Poisson Geometry written by Mario Garcia-Fernandez and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-08-24 with Mathematics categories.

This book presents recent advances in topics related to Poisson geometry originating from lectures given at the “Poisson School” held in 2022 at the CRM in Barcelona. The purpose is to give both an introduction to this active field of research as well as highlight new trends in related topics. The texts cover both classical results, known to experts in the field, as well as recent and previously unpublished mathematical results. Graduate students and early-stage researchers with basic knowledge in differential and symplectic geometry, together with established researchers that are keen to dive into this rapidly growing field of research, will find this book a useful resource.

This collection presents new and interesting applications of Poisson geometry to some fundamental well-known problems in mathematical physics. In addition to advanced Poisson geometry, the methods used by the authors include unexpected algebras with non-Lie commutation relations, nontrivial (quantum) Kahlerian structures of hypergeometric type, dynamical systems theory, semiclassical asymptotics, and more. The volume is suitable for graduate students and researchers interested in mathematical physics. Other AMS publications by M. Karasev include ""Nonlinear Poisson Brackets""; ""Geometry and Quantization"", ""Coherent Transform, Quantization, and Poisson Geometry"", and ""Asymptotic Methods for Wave and Quantum Problems"".

Lectures On Differential Geometry written by Iskander Asanovich Taĭmanov and has been published by European Mathematical Society this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008 with Mathematics categories.

Differential geometry studies geometrical objects using analytical methods. Like modern analysis itself, differential geometry originates in classical mechanics. For instance, geodesics and minimal surfaces are defined via variational principles and the curvature of a curve is easily interpreted as the acceleration with respect to the path length parameter. Modern differential geometry in its turn strongly contributed to modern physics. This book gives an introduction to the basics of differential geometry, keeping in mind the natural origin of many geometrical quantities, as well as the applications of differential geometry and its methods to other sciences. The text is divided into three parts. The first part covers the basics of curves and surfaces, while the second part is designed as an introduction to smooth manifolds and Riemannian geometry. In particular, Chapter 5 contains short introductions to hyperbolic geometry and geometrical principles of special relativity theory. Here, only a basic knowledge of algebra, calculus and ordinary differential equations is required. The third part is more advanced and introduces into matrix Lie groups and Lie algebras the representation theory of groups, symplectic and Poisson geometry, and applications of complex analysis in surface theory. The book is based on lectures the author held regularly at Novosibirsk State University. It is addressed to students as well as anyone who wants to learn the basics of differential geometry.

Introduction To Symplectic Geometry written by Jean-Louis Koszul and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-04-15 with Science categories.

This introductory book offers a unique and unified overview of symplectic geometry, highlighting the differential properties of symplectic manifolds. It consists of six chapters: Some Algebra Basics, Symplectic Manifolds, Cotangent Bundles, Symplectic G-spaces, Poisson Manifolds, and A Graded Case, concluding with a discussion of the differential properties of graded symplectic manifolds of dimensions (0,n). It is a useful reference resource for students and researchers interested in geometry, group theory, analysis and differential equations. This book is also inspiring in the emerging field of Geometric Science of Information, in particular the chapter on Symplectic G-spaces, where Jean-Louis Koszul develops Jean-Marie Souriau's tools related to the non-equivariant case of co-adjoint action on Souriau’s moment map through Souriau’s Cocycle, opening the door to Lie Group Machine Learning with Souriau-Fisher metric.
