Advances In State Estimation Diagnosis And Control Of Complex Systems written by Ye Wang and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-07-30 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book presents theoretical and practical findings on the state estimation, diagnosis and control of complex systems, especially in the mathematical form of descriptor systems. The research is fully motivated by real-world applications (i.e., Barcelona’s water distribution network), which require control systems capable of taking into account their specific features and the limits of operations in the presence of uncertainties stemming from modeling errors and component malfunctions. Accordingly, the book first introduces a complete set-based framework for explicitly describing the effects of uncertainties in the descriptor systems discussed. In turn, this set-based framework is used for state estimation and diagnosis. The book also presents a number of application results on economic model predictive control from actual water distribution networks and smart grids. Moreover, the book introduces a fault-tolerant control strategy based on virtual actuators and sensors for such systems in the descriptor form.

Hybrid Estimation Of Complex Systems written by Michael W. Hofbaur and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-06-09 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This monograph provides a tool-set for hybrid estimation that can successfully monitor the behavior of complex artifacts with a large number of possible operational and failure modes such as production plants, automotive or aeronautic systems, and autonomous robots. For this purpose, ideas from the fields of System Theory and Artificial Intelligence are taken and hybrid estimation is reformulated as a search problem. This allows to focus the estimation onto highly probably operational modes, without missing symptoms that might be hidden among the noise in the system. Additionally a novel approach to continue hybrid estimation in the presence of unknown behavioral modes and to automate system analysis and synthesis tasks for on-line operation are presented. This leads to a flexible model-based hybrid estimation scheme for complex artifacts that robustly copes with unforeseen situations.

Advanced Methods For Fault Diagnosis And Fault Tolerant Control written by Steven X. Ding and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-11-24 with Technology & Engineering categories.
The major objective of this book is to introduce advanced design and (online) optimization methods for fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control from different aspects. Under the aspect of system types, fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant issues are dealt with for linear time-invariant and time-varying systems as well as for nonlinear and distributed (including networked) systems. From the methodological point of view, both model-based and data-driven schemes are investigated. To allow for a self-contained study and enable an easy implementation in real applications, the necessary knowledge as well as tools in mathematics and control theory are included in this book. The main results with the fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant schemes are presented in form of algorithms and demonstrated by means of benchmark case studies. The intended audience of this book are process and control engineers, engineering students and researchers with control engineering background.

Modeling Diagnostics And Process Control written by Józef Korbicz and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-11-19 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Modern control systems are complex in the sense of implementing numerous functions, such as process variable processing, digital control, process monitoring and alarm indication, graphic visualization of process running, or data exchange with other systems or databases. This book conveys a description of the developed DiaSter system as well as characteristics of advanced original methods of modeling, knowledge discovery, simulator construction, process diagnosis, as well as predictive and supervision control applied in the system. The system allows early recognition of abnormal states of industrial processes along with faults or malfunctions of actuators as well as technological and measuring units. The universality of solutions implemented in DiaSter facilitates its broad application, for example, in the power, chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and food industries. The system is a world-scale unique solution, and due to its open architecture it can be connected practically with any other control systems. The monograph presents theoretical and practical results of research into fault diagnosis and control conducted over many years within the cooperation of Polish research teams from the Warsaw University of Technology, the University of Zielona Góra, the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, and the Technical University of Rzeszów. The book will be of great interest to researchers and advanced students in automatic control, technical diagnostics and computer engineering, and to engineers tasked with the development of advanced control systems of complex industrial processes.
