Women called him the perfect storm because he could sweet-talk any woman into his bed, and regularly did so. Firefighter Storm Westmoreland used lovemaking the way other men used a long, hot shower--to blow off steam. Caught in the eye of the storm, Jayla Cole was no match for the sexy fire chief or the emotional inferno he ignited inside her. Kim is a waiter in a Dorset hotel, an absolute hot-bed of sex. But he’s seeing none of it. Instead he falls for Cally, a 43-year-old artist who is steaming with chutzpah. She is a woman who grabs life by the throat; she knows what she wants – and most of the time she gets it, too. She lives only in the moment, losing a number of her nine lives – and nearly killing Kim in the process. Kim finds love as he has never known it before – but even when he’s completely in Cally’s thrall, he’s still unable to resist the allure of other younger women. A couple can bridge a 20-year age gap, but can they ever make the relationship last? This is the third book in the series, following on from ‘The Well-Tempered Clavier’ and ‘The Woman Who Made Men Cry.’

Invisible Stars written by Donna Halper and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-02-11 with History categories.

Invisible Stars was the first book to recognize that women have always played an important part in American electronic media. The emphasis is on social history, as the author skillfully explains how the changing role of women in different eras influenced their participation in broadcasting. This is not just the story of radio stars or broadcast journalists, but a social history of women both on and off the air. Beginning in the early 1920s with the emergence of radio, the book chronicles the ambivalence toward women in broadcasting during the 1930s and 1940s, the gradual change in status of women in the 1950s and 1960s, the increased presence of women in broadcasting in the 1970s, and the successes of women in broadcasting in the 1980s and 1990s. The second edition is expanded to include the social and political changes that occurred in the 2000s, such as the growing number of women talk show hosts; changing attitudes about women in leadership roles in business; more about minority women in media; and women in sports and women sports announcers. The author addresses the question of whether women are in fact no longer invisible in electronic media. She provides an assessment of where progress for women (in society as well as broadcasting) can be seen, and where progress appears totally stalled.

Winner of the 2014 NAACP Image Award, A Wanted Woman is a dangerous thrill ride like no other from New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey. The assassin called Reaper is a woman of a thousand faces, and just as many accents. In the blink of an eye, she can become anyone. Some desirable. All dangerous. For Reaper, the Trinidad contract should be simple: infiltrate the infamous Laventille Killers’ organization, earn access to her political target, eliminate him, and then escape from the island. When complications arise and the job goes bad, Reaper has no viable exit plan. The LK warlords want her publicly executed, and their pursuit is far-reaching and merciless. Trawling for low-profile assignments is all Reaper can do to keep her skills sharp and garner money to survive. And for an assassin with so many changeable identities, her newest one is too frighteningly real—as an expendable pawn between two warring organizations. Now, trapped on an island paradise turned prison, Reaper discovers that family ties run deep on both sides. Somewhere, sometime, someone has to be trusted—but one wrong move could suddenly become her last breath.

"The Rainbow" tells the story of three generations of the Brangwen family, a dynasty of farmers and craftsmen who live in the east Midlands of England, on the borders of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The book covers a period from the 1840s to 1905, and shows how the love relationships of the Brangwens change against the backdrop of the increasing industrialization of Britain. The first central character, Tom Brangwen, is a farmer whose experience of the world does not stretch beyond these two counties; while the last, Ursula, his granddaughter, studies at university and becomes a teacher in the progressively urbanized, capitalist and industrial world. "Women in Love" is a sequel to novel The Rainbow, and follows lives of the Brangwen sisters, Ursula a schoolteacher, and Gudrun a painter. They meet two men who live nearby, school inspector Rupert Birkin and Gerald Crich, heir to a coal-mine, and the four become friends. Ursula and Birkin begin a romantic friendship, while Gudrun and Gerald eventually begin a love affair. The emotional relationships thus established are given further depth and tension by an intense psychological and physical attraction between Gerald and Rupert. All four are deeply concerned with questions of society, politics, and the relationship between men and women. The novel ranges over the whole of British society before the time of the First World War and eventually concludes in the snows of the Tyrolean Alps.
