In a prison of hope; I was battling spiritual warfare landing in psychiatric hospitals suffering breakdowns, bi-polar depression and failed marriages. After the loss of my maidenhood; trauma as a youth served as the root cause of these episodes. Jesus miraculously healed my brokenness in his perfect timing, which I thought would never be possible. Oh, God's amazing grace sought me through. His mercy forever rings, bringing me sheer joy and peace, that I take pleasure in rejoicing and growing in his love and greatness. Unknowingly, a devoted, caring doctor had my back. Somehow, by God's divine intervening, he brought me in my rightful place to turn trusting Jesus or else...I'll end up falling prey to Satan's tactics by disobeying God. To my dismay, the reality of it all left me grieving, since I fell in love with this genuine surgeon. Are you feeling lost, hopelessness, regret, or even doubt? This memoir uplifts with humor spurring moments, to your God-given destiny without roadblocks. God's love never fails or forsakes. My dreams came to pass with my husband Kenneth. His love and strength helped me gain courage after the Lord took my close Mom and beloved sister home in 2015. My family and friends shed their light upon me by their love, support, and set example, making all the difference in my livelihood. My daughter's love always puts a smile in my heart. With the eye of faith believing in God's promises, she will surpass any bondage that binds her, to restoration in the name of Jesus. His truth shall prevail. My therapist saw in me, what I could not see clearly within myself, for the exceptional woman I am today. No longer am I a label; my identity rests assured in Christ Jesus alone. "Love Lifted Me"

Few recent Christian thinkers have been as widely influential as John Howard Yoder (1927-1997). Encompassing a teaching career of more than thirty years and such landmark publications as 'The Politics of Jesus', Yoder's life and thought have profoundly impacted students and colleagues from a broad range of disciplines. In the words of Stanley Hauerwas, Yoder is probably the major theologican/ethicists of this half-century in America and certainly the leading Mennonite theologian of the twentieth century. 'The Wisdom of the Cross' is the only book to provide valuable secondary essays engaging Yoder's central theological concerns, together with a biographical reflection on his life and legacy. Written by scholars both from within and outside of Yoder's Mennonite community, these essays develop the most significant aspects of Yoder's thought - from his powerful defense of Christian pacifism to his seminal analysis of the politics of Jesus to his challenging contributions to Christian social ethics, ecclesiology, and theological method. The book also includes a previously unpublished essay on moral absolutes by Yoder himself. A fitting tribute to Yoder's distinguished career, this volume will be useful to readers new to Yoder's work and to those wishing to probe more deeply into the implications of his thought.

"This Is My Story But His Song" is a true testimony about a girl growing up in Alabama with a loving and caring family. Her mother introduced her to singing at church at the young age of four. Initially, Nan did not enjoy singing because during her childhood, her brothers thought it was the funniest thing to make her cry while singing solos. When they were older, the tears were reversed and the brothers cried as Nan sang like an "Angel." Her troubles started when she wanted to experience life and relationships. This story tells of the many highs and lows which Nan goes through in life as a woman struggling with promiscuity and its consequences; she's a discontented wife with many relationship mishaps. Having succumbed to human weaknesses time and time again, she was exposed. After meeting Luke, Ed and Ron she thought she had love figured out. It wasn't until she met John and her life changed for the better. God gets the glory because Nan always knew where her heart was. She realized that with all of the emptiness from a relationship with men, the only one who could ever make her feel "agape" love was God alone. Lessons her parents taught her as a child followed her through her life. As in 1 Peter, Nan believes she has suffered for Christ's sake and throughout all of her pains and shortcomings, she's able to stand tall, come out of her chrysalis with a song in her heart and emerge into the most "Beautiful, Colorful Butterfly" ever seen. Nan prays that all will be inspired and encouraged knowing that Jesus died for all of our sins and because of His stripes we are healed. Just know that Jesus loves you and He'll meet you where you are.
